Great place to spent time with family and friends. Gorgeous food. Amazing taste and pleasure for eyes. Restaurant provides elegant modern British cuisine using the finest seasonal ingredients and employing both classic and modern techniques. An absolute " must eat there" when visiting Poole :)

Interior layout has been improved. One bar only now whichs gives a lot more space for customers. Beer prices are very competitive. A more varied and changing range of cask ales only two on at a time but variety is the spice of life.

Outstanding roast on Easter Sunday with a short notice booking after the Crown had a very busy day with a team member down. To deliver such good food like that is testimony to the chef. The chef always accommodates my wife's dairy free diet too which is appreciated. Thank you to Denise and the team, first class.

First time that we visited this pub, lady we booked with was lovely and said she'd put us under a heater (eat outside only at the moment) & she did & it was warm & lovely! Menu was great, loads of lovely varied starters, tapas dishes, mains including steaks, pies and burgers & specials too. Great fish selection & the Mussels menu is fab! The food was absolutely amazing! What a hidden wonder of a gem! We had the most amazing crab pate with horseradish creme fraiche followed by Sirloin steak with blue cheese sauce. The sauce was so tasty and silky, the onion rings melted in the mouth, it was all top class! Best meal I've had in a restaurant in years hands down. We will definitely return regularly - if we can get booked in lol! So glad we found it & can't wait to come back! Thank you for a lovely evening. 😊

We had a group of 12 friends who dined in The crown for sunday lunch 23 aug 20. We had a variety of food from sunday lunch, to steak, sea bass, homemade pies. The food was outstanding as was the service and young staff members couldn't do enough for you. Riley especially made a visit, he was so helpful and accommodating to our needs. What a lovely young man. All in all we throughly enjoyed our afternoon and would definitely highly recommend people to dine with you. We will surely visit again. Thankyou

I visited the Crown today for lunch. Although some items were not available, there was a good selection on the menu nevertheless. I chose the Steak and Kidney pie - it was simply delicious! Nice shortcrust pastry, not too much, but there was plenty of delicious rich filling.Always a super meal and friendly staff.

The food was lovely the staff friendly but service was so slow. There seemed to be plenty of staff so maybe it was the kitchen staff? Either way it did start to impact on the whole experience. Plus one of the meals wasn't right we didnt complain so that's our own fault. I had scallops as a starter. It was wonderful. I then had roast beef with cauliflower cheese and many vegetables. The portions are huge with plenty of gravy what more could you want.. So I would have given a five if the service was better. Other customers was also getting fed up with the service asking when they could order sweets.

Absolutely superb. My husband and I chose from the daily specials...sea bass and megrim (A type of flat fish). The fusion of English and Thai flavours were outstanding..the chef is a genius. Service was equally outstanding with friendly, knowledgeable staff...and all at a moderate price. Highly recommended.

Excellent service went here with my partner our two friends and my little one. we all had the roast myself and my partner had the lamb was slightly fatty, our friends had the beef and said it was excellent. Every other part of the roast was amazing probably one of the best I've had. I would definitely return as their main menu looks great. Although I wouldn't choose to have the lamb again I would definitely have another roast.

This is the third time I've lunched there and have been delighted every time. The place deserves to have a Michelin Star, the food is so good and beautifully presented. It really has an extensive menu and it must have one of the best chefs around. It has a very friendly, relaxing atmosphere with very fine crockery and cutlery. The service is so good too. There is no rush and the waitresses are really quite amusing and very down-to-earth. I can't recommend this place highly enough and I much prefer it to the much vaunted 'Guild Hall Tavern' next door. I will be back time and again.
