It's quite simply the best fish and chip shop in Dorset. I won't visit any other chip shop now, my
Parents even make a 10 mile round trip when the urge for cod and chips comes over them. Chips are cooked perfectly, delicately crisp and light golden in colour, the batter on the fish is always light and without excess like you get in most other places, non of that wadded batter paste glued to the cod. Portions are always plentiful, I cannot understand anyone complaining that they aren't anything other than perfect. I wish everyone at Nick the Fish every success and a long and prosperous future, keep doing exactly what you are doing, it's amazing! Thank you
Delicious fish and chips ( with a tub of homemade tartar sauce which I wasn't expecting inside the bag which was divine) no grease or soggy chips just nice crispy batter and the staff were very friendly and very smartly dressed which makes such a difference to other establishments. The place exudes cleanliness and would definitely recommend anyone to swop from their usually fish and chip shop to Nick the Fish. You won't be disappointed
Googled this place and as it was top of tripadvisor we though we would give it a shot. Lovely welcome, great service, food was fab-not greasy and the price include unlimited chips and mushy peas.I also had a Prosecco! Deffo a must. Well done guys x
Amazing fish and chips. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection with a light crispy batter. The chips were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Homemade light tartar sauce and a curry sauce to die for. Yum yum. I would highly recommend always getting your fish and chips from here.
Tried for the first time last night and will definately be going back :) .. large cod was massive and the batter was amazing .. cant recommend the place enough
Enjoyed another delicious meal tonight. The homemade Tartar sauce is amazing. I tried the salt and pepper squid for the first time and it was the best I've ever tasted. Will definitely be ordering the squid again. Nick the Fish provides the best fish and chips in the area.
This fish and chip shop is amazing ...no grease on the fish or chips at all ...it was so tasty ... You really must go and try it :) fab service and beautifully thought out little extra 's . . Will be going back ......fantastic meal :)

Visited after being let down by the Dancing Moose and it made our evening. Fish and Chips were delicious, the service was excellent and the drinks were reasonably priced. Will definitely come again, can’t thank Nick the Fish enough for saving our evening �
Fab fab fab! Fish and chips last night were amazing and the butterfly prawns were to die for!! Couldn't eat them all as too many so had the remaining 3 for breakfast! YUMMY! Thanks Nick x

Bought food here for the first time, having found it by accident. Was very surprised (because other trumpets are blown louder) by great quality, decent size cod, and fast service. Will definitely return here. Had previously frequented an alternative Westbourne fish and chip shop, but fatty food, portion size and a very long wait all killed that off. Happy to have discovered Nicks.
Great service, nice staff. Food is a little expensive but portions are big and the food is fresh and tastes amazing. Parking is the only main issue. Few spaces out front but they were all full and we had to find a space in the roads up the hill from it
Top quality cooking of fish and chips. Lovely piece of cod. Crispy batter. Tasty chips. You can sit at the tables outside to eat your takeaway. Friendly service.

Very tasty fish and chips. Better than all the other chippies. Burger was top quality, love the bun they used.
I always buy my cod and chips here when visiting Poole. My only comment would be that the staff are just a little distant, but the cooked food is great.

Deserving of it's outstanding rating. Unimaginably crispy fish, perfectly cooked chips and fresh curry sauce.
It does get busy though, so be mindful of that if you plan to dine in.

Fish is lovely and flaky, batter not too heavy and chips well cooked! And plentiful!.
I LOVE the mushy peas . Always order 2 portions😋.
Had a homemade tartar sauce as a freebie tonight and was certainly not disappointed.
I usually order through deliveroo, never had an issue.
And also sometimes collect when not too lazy😁always found staff and owner friendly.

I don’t normally order fish and chip and find they a bit bland for me.
But nick the fish has made the difference.
You can taste the quality of fish they use and it’s not greasy butter.
It’s worth of visit, and I heard quite a few famous footballers been their regular customers.
So can’t be wrong ☺️
The best fish and chips I have ever had in my life. Used to regularly have it but have since moved away to the Midlands. I miss it so much and I can't wait to visit on holiday and have the amazing taste I miss so much. Never found anything half as good since moving :(
