On our ad hoc visit to Poole found this treasure of a restaurant. The menu was all freshly cooked and we ordered a very palatable bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Ordered our starters and mains and settled down to enjoy the wine. The food was an absolute revelation. We both agreed the whitebait was the best we had ever had. The main course arrived at a timely interval and both our meal exceeded our expectation. I had the sea bass and my partner had the beef. My partner had the creme brûlée.. absolutely wonderful with a lovely crunchy topping. All in all a great meal. Recommend to anyone.
Passed this little bistro many times but never been in.. what a mistake !!
This has to be one of the best meals we have ever had since we’ve been coming down to Poole, which must be 8 years now.
I had the Pate followed by the fillet steak and it was cooked beautifully.
Definitely will be going back. Try it if you’ve ever in Poole. Booking recommended though as it only seats 20 covers.

We went for our second meal out at Bingleys last night and as before thoroughly enjoyed the food. My OH loves steak and when the chef cooked he was asked - if you want it 'english' or 'French' blue.... which means The chef def knows what he is talking about....
All our needs were catering for and it was lovely to interact with the team, when quiet to find out future plans for this wonderful restaurant.
You must finish your meal with a French coffee - delicious!!!

Amazing food..i had the pork for main was tasty and melted in the mouth! My husband had the steak which was equally just as tasty. Fantastic service too and friendly. Great restaurant to have so close to home. Thoroughly recommend X
Change of ownership in week previous to our visit. Nevertheless, great location, great food and great staff. New owners are lovely and make you feel at home. We will most certainly be returning. Thank you.

What a lovely welcome, Thursday was the first night for new owners. They were very attentive and friendly. Food was lovely, I had the Pork Belly and my husband had the Chardonne Beef. Servings generous. Atmosphere is relaxed a d we enjoyed meeting new people. Will defiantly be back.

Great food if I had to pick a favourite of my three courses I would have to say the butternut soup so blinking tasty .. Lovely charming friendly service .. Love the sneaky peek you get into the kitchen when going to the loo too as the kitchen area is visible .. I do love a nose ! A nice quirkyness �

I cannot speak too highly of this first class restaurant. On the outside it is reassuringly unpretentious. Inside is a surprise - welcoming, warm and comfortable in what turns out to be a room with original 19th Century decorations, within part of a 16th Century building. Excellent service. A good choice of wine at sensible prices. And last but definitely not least one of the best plates of food I have enjoyed in a long time - simple, but beautifully cooked and presented - perfect in every way. I look forward to visiting again. Great place to celebrate my birthday, food was incredible, as is building and atmosphere. Don't hesitate to go here. I'd recommend the lamb and all the puddings looked amazing!
Extremely well cooked food. Service was efficient, engaging and attentive. Enjoyed all 3 courses, had the slow cooked porchetta with mac & cheese as a side as the main course, certainly would recommend both this and the brownie dessert. Will definitely visit again next time we are down in Poole
Absolutely fabulous little place. Arranged a wedding lunch here for 7 people and Terry and the staff were amazing. Catered for our every need. It was beautiful and the food was to die for. Thankyou so much xx
What an amazing little restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, service was second to none. Kids were treated with the same care, reepect and attention as the adults. I had the lamb chump, really well made, knife just feel through the potatoes, and so flavoursome. Pudding was sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, let's just say it didn't last longer than 5 mins after I took the pic! In our party we had a vegetarian and a gf and both were catered for incredibly well. Can not recommend this little gem enough, definitely worth a trip if you are down here 😊

We thoroughly enjoyed the evening in this newly refurbished character restaurant. Delicious food as before and the same friendly ambience. The luscious Pork Belly and Ribeye Steaks went down very well. I had the beautiful Mango Pannacotta dessert coupled with a glass of Sauternes wine. A great finish.
