Collected a takeaway from here the other months and was sold on its burgers! Been back a few times now with family and friends wanting to share the experience as we only live 15 mins away and never knew of the great little pub! Today me and my partner ordered a large roast and the veggie chicken roast. Marty (I believe the chef was called) was lovely whilst serving, and offered to have my veggie chicken delivered to table as it would take a little longer. The food was spectacular for the price! We loaded our plates with the self serve veg, roasties, mash and sauces! Picked up a Xmas menu, think we will come back for the 3 course meal, highly recommend!!
We just went for a dessert the staff were frendly and we only had to wait 5 minutes. The only one thing I can say is the toilets are not well signed and once I did ask what way to go I wasn't sure if I was going in the toilets or the kitchen, the lady on the table next to us had the same problem other than that we will definitely go again x
Me and my 10 year old popped in for some lunch and had the carvery and a pizza. The service was amazing. The person behind the bar was so lovely and couldn’t do enough, they got really busy but still maintained a great service, and Nigel was lovely on carvery too.
Stopped here for breakfast, which is a bargain, all you can eat fry up for £6. Bacon, sausages, hash browns, fried bread, mushrooms, fried eggs, black pudding, tomatoes, baked beans and toast and jam/marmalade if you desire. Food can be a bit crispy at times as it's hot held, but that is the nature of a self serve counter. Unlimited tea and coffee can also be purchased. A good place for a hearty breakfast stop. Recommended.
Called in again, and had the bacon cheeseburger, this time. It was fantastic. My wife had the pizza made to order not frozen. On my last visit, I had the carvery, it was good value and tasty, but the best part of the set meal was the dessert, had the sweet Belgian waffle, which was delicious cannot recommend this highly enough the dessert was just £1.99 extra but I would have paid £6 or £7 for just that. Great place for food at a reasonable price.

Friendly and attentive waitresses. Food was decent, although the queue to the carvery took ages.
Gravy was a little thin for my liking.. but over all it was decent.

Wow, where has this carvery been all my life. Nice pub in a really good location in-between Caerphilly and Cardiff with ample parking. Carvery was one if the best I've had and the large didn't disappoint.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was very nice, and reasonably priced. All meat at the carvery looked delicious, went for beef and gammon and was not disappointed!! Plenty of trimmings. Would definitely come back again (and will).
Took my family of 5 there. Beautiful food, staff very helpful and friendly. We all had starters, mains and a few desserts.
Only down side was we paid for 2 large carvery and we had 2 tiny slices of meat which I was disappointed. Toby carvery is alot more generous with meat.

Really nice Sunday dinner with the family on my return home visit. Haven't been here for years and it didn't disappoint. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere and lovely staff
There wasn’t much of an atmosphere because it was quiet at my time of visit. The food was very nice, myself and my son really enjoyed what we had. The service we got from Symone was excellent, very friendly with a smile. I would come back here again without a doubt.
Good food very tasty carvery. Pleasant helpful staff. Service provided was excellent. Very clean. Unfortunately all on site and parking spaces were taken when we arrived.
We went to the carvery on Sunday & we had a fabulous meal. A very friendly polite young man - Kyan, carved our meat. The meat was really tender & the food was delicious. We were served promptly at the bar & it was a lovely atmosphere. Will visit again for sure 😃
First time we have been. Didn't book and was really busy, Went out of the way to find us a table for 4. The food was excellent. I would recommend giving it a try.
