Nice cosy traditional place with lots of character. Real fire. Cheap meals, and great beer. Peaceful calming atmosphere.

Had food here last night. We both had fillet streak with all the trimmings. Garlic bread pepper sauce. Not only was it a fantastic price, but the food was amazing. Cooked to perfection . Thank u so much we will be back very soon x

Absolutely lovely little country pub with stunning views across the valley. Really idyllic place run by nice people. A bit of a hike, but so worth it!
Lovely place on top of the hill. Ordered a big nice beef burger with cheese and bacon.

Great food at The Rose and Crown Eglwsylian on New Years Day. Belly pork was perfectly cooked and mustard mash was well seazoned with good amount of mustard which came through. Service was relaxed and attentive. Local seasonal beers on tap were very good and atmosphere was cosy and homely. Great to have this pub back as a local again.
Gorgeous pub. Recently returned to have a drink in memory of my Gramp. He used to regularly sit here on a nice summer's day. I'd happily keep up his tradition. The food was beautiful, the nicest calamari I've ever had, all freshly cooked. Top chef there! Portions are so big I actually couldn't manage desert. As for the staff, they were so lovely and friendly. Everyone seemed happy. We took our two dogs and they had just as much fuss as we did by everyone so they were happy. And they offered us treats and water for them. Will definitely be returning. They've done a fantastic job.
My husband and I have a weekend ritual of hiking up to Eglwysilan and, occasionally, we will continue walking to the Rose & Crown. I love their new cocktail menu - they were so fruity and refreshing! My husband likes sampling the local ales, which are equally as nice (particularly at the end of a hot, sweaty Summer hike!). The food menu here is small and simple, but the quality and flavours are on-point and the service is always excellent.

Beautiful scenery, cosy little pub. The staff are so friendly and the conservatory is stunning. Perfect for a wedding reception or the likes.
Had an amazing Sunday lunch . Great service in beautiful surroundings. Well worth a visit .
Spur of the moment decision to try here for food with our 15 week old pup! Food, service and setup there was outstanding we all thoroughly enjoyed :) Forgot to take a picture of the food but was delicious :) Pup loved her bowl of water and treats! :D
Been a long time since this place was open last. The new owners have done a great job of refurbishing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, will be back to sample the food soon.
