20 of us here last night for a birthday meal and the service was fantastic! Didn't have to wait long for our meals and they were all brought out together, the food was as gorgeous as it always has been and lovely and hot and the staff couldn't do enough for us! the restaurant was full and there was also another party of around 20 people there but that didn't effect the service one bit.
We have been eating here for years with friends and family and we always have a fantastic welcome and our 16 month old daughter loves it here also, especially as there is now a added playground area. I highly recommend this place for food or even just to relax in the sun with a few drinks! Thank you so much jo and your team for looking after us last night see you soon �
Visited for Sunday Lunch with my husband and daughter. Opted for two courses and everything about the meal was lovely. Garlic mushrooms were best I've tasted and the Sunday dinner was plentiful, with the option of all three meats, plenty of veg and great service. Lovely pub, lovely food and great friendly staff. xx

It was my husband and I first visit to this pub, we were seated straight away and ordered the two course Sunday lunch. The food was delicious, my husband had turkey and I had beef we were offered more gravy too. The desserts were lovely, the level of service was fantastic definitely worth a visit.
Really nice pub, good atmosphere and polite staff.
Ordered food which arrived quickly and presented well.
All the food we ordered was ample, very tasty and hot.
Will defiantly be returning.

We had a birthday party of 33 here last night everybody had something different I mean different offers different meals starters desserts everything and it was flawless! Staff were amazing it was clearly well run as there was no confusion with bills or meals the food was Stunning I think every plate when back completely cleared! Actually can't wait to go down again! My son had his birthday party there last Friday 33 people with a variety of starters, mains and desserts, apart from one small error which was quickly corrected all went smoothly and the staff decorated the room for us. Not one complaint about the food well done and thanks to Jo and team.

A great pub that serves hearty homemade food, we found this pub a few years ago and regularly meet up with friends there. The Southern fried chicken platter is superb and each meal is served with proper homemade chips, the menu isn't the most extensive but it caters for most people's tastes. The quality of the ingredients for the food is top notch and the food is reasonably priced.
Love the Cornbeef pie, mash, peas and gravy off the special’s board @ £7.50p
Had our gender reveal here. Staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very welcoming atmosphere. Food was amazing. All our guests were thrilled with their meals. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend you won’t be disappointed 🙂

Lovely little place... love that they do proper chips. Staff were friendly and food was served in a good time. Great place if you want to charge your electric car as there are plenty of changers in the carpark too.

Went for lunch here with a friend today. Staff were friendly and welcoming and the menu was impressive.... One of those where you want to order everything! I had a burger, which was mouthwateringly delicious and came with a heap of chips, which were also very tasty. I couldn't eat all of the chips but I demolished the burger.
My friend recommended this place as it does home-cooked (not frozen ping-ping) meals... and in the era of chain pubs, microwave meals and pub closures, I have to say I was impressed. It is easy to get to and has a car park and outdoor area. My only recommendation would be the addition of the tuna melt panini.... But I guess you can't have it all 😂. Would recommend!
We had a family birthday party last night . There was 15 of us. Our meals were excellent they all came out hot and excellent standard. Our waitress was very polite and friendly. She was lovely with everyone. Nothing was too much trouble. Lady on the bar was lovely too. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely birthday evening.
We eat here most weekends. Food is such good value and delicious. Home made chips 🍟 There is always service with a smile and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere 👌

First time we been to the hawthorns not a great selection on the menu put the food was good will go again
Attend for a work party with 12 of us. Pre ordered all food. All three courses came out piping hot for everyone, with nobody kept waiting. Food was excellent. I loved the chicken strips starter. Others said the mixed grill was amazing and all servings were immense. Highly recommended
