Great local tandoori house. An impressive array of curries, breads and other bits. The king prawns were delicious. NB, it’s cash payment only!

The food at the Shaheen is fantastic. I've sampled a variety off the menu and they have all been lovely.
If you have any special dietary requirements or preferences to how a particular ingredient, just let them know. They are very accommodating.

Absolutely the very best Indian food I have ever tasted.The portion sizes are generous and the cost was very affordable., We phoned ahead, and the meal was ready to pick up as we arrived, Everything was cooked to perfection, and the counter staff were very well informed and helpful with our dessert selection. The food was easily enough for four people, I would give it 11/10 if that were possible, and twice a month I can now look forward to putting my feet up, and tucking into a delicious meal prepared by the experts, and no dishes to do. Bliss.

Riaz runs the best takeaway around in the Shaheen in my view. I dont live in New Inn but do like to pick up a Vindaloo, Dansak, Chicken Tikka or a Bhuna from him when I can. Excellent food and plenty of it. I have known and enjoyed Riaz's superb Indian food for over 30yrs, going back as far as when he ran the Naseeb in Blaenavon which was one of the best if not the best takeaway Curry houses anywhere back then.

Love this place, food is the best around. We've moved away from Pontypool but still travel over half an hour for a takeaway as we havent tasted better anywhere else.
