We were camping near by and arranged to meet family for a long overdue reunion. We were welcomed with a smile, we hadn't booked, however the staff reserved a corner table for us. The food was good old pub grub that was enjoyed by us all. So much so we arranged to come back and do it all again a week
Very generous portions for the price you paid . Nice and quiet on a Tuesday afternoon. Lovely pub
Amazing Pub! So friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced for Ale and a roaring fire. Just what you need after a long walk. Beware the Naughty Corner and dodgy wifi!
A good friendly pub. Some ales on tap (on our visit it was Wye valley butty and 2 grey trees ales, previous time similar I recall with Wye valley bitter). A good old fashioned pub inside and a nice seating area at the front. Parking on site. Can't go wrong. Food looks good on the menu which we might
Spent a Friday evening here, was too late to order food (last order 8pm) but the very helpful barmaid, Bella? Ordered a takeaway for my mate so he wouldn’t go hungry! Great beer decent prices and wonderful staff/owner.
Nice selection of beer and cider. Food look great. Very close to Pen y Fan if you walk the Horseshoe route.

Brilliant young lad on the bar! Didn’t necessarily have room for me and my partner to have dinner But made room!! Great food with fantastic prices! Couldn’t decide what to order in the end so ordered 3 mains just because we could! Was a random unplanned stop but would definitely be recommend by us !
Great little pub with a cosy atmosphere. We only had a quick drink whilst passing on our bike ride but felt like the kind of place I would visit more regularly if I lived closer
Food was lovely and plenty of it. Staff very friendly. Dog friendly. Lovely open fire. Couldn't fault it. Thank you 😊
We were 4 families and had an excellent dinner. We were very well looked after by all especially Rhys who gave us brilliant bar service and lots of local tips to see and do things. Highly recommend.
We visited recently as a half way point to see a friend whilst we were staying in the Brecon area. We assumed we'd just have chips as we are vegan and chose this pub based on the pictures of their chips on reviews here, but to our surprise they had vegan shepherds pie as well, and it was proper hear
We loved this pub, we stopped in after doing the mountain railway ride and found the food very nice, the pub has lots of character and good parking.
Lush pint after a long walk. Great log fire and homely atmosphere. Food menu looked good too👍
Local pub for local people, welcoming to tourists and excellent hospitality. Was so lovely we enjoyed Dinner on two occasions and also a spot of lunch. If the pub is busy during the week, it must be doing something right!
