I love this place. Had a fabulous late breakfast yesterday, poached eggs with halloumi on a muffin, all perfectly cooked. The Post Box also hosts a great writing group on a Wednesday evening. It's everything a coffee shop should be and more!

Recovering from knee replacement and decided to walk from my home for exercise, Only popped in for a scone and cold drink but wow I had the fruit scone with cream and jam, the scone was absolutely delicious and my friend had the cheese scone she too couldn’t fault it. Friendly staff and a seat that was comfy for my knee made it an enjoyable experience.

Thanks for doing a fab kids afternoon tea when school finished today for ten reception school boys. A delicious mini feast of Nutella pancakes, chocolate brownie, cheese sandwiches and squash. A lovely way to round if the year and some tasty food and coffees for mummies too! Fantastic helpful service, and we had the best time xxx

Visited for brunch for the fourth time a few days ago. Service is always attentive but relaxed and you never feel like you're being hurried out, even at the weekend. The brunch menu is good quality and well priced.

Charming little cafe/restaurant/wine bar. Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. My bacon sandwich breakfast was extremely nice and the pot of tea. Also like the pictures and general decor. Well done owners

We had the 'big dish special' which this week was lamb hot pot followed by treacle sponge and custard. Absolutely beautiful. We liked it so much we have booked to go back next week to try the cow pie. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely little coffee shop... loved looking at the deco and art work on the walls. Staff... especially Claire... are lovely. Scone was delicious and the kids loved their hot chocolate. Will definitely be returning

Had brunch there new year's day. Excellent. By the time I left the place was humming. They have done some seating reorganization. Big improvement with benches on both sides if the restaurant. Can highly recommend the breakfast.

This place is just superb! A tearoom, which may make you think 'twee and boring' but it's far from that! Great scoff and the place was full, we got only free table (says it all really) Will make a point of stopping by every time I'm in the area! Looking forward to my next cream tea already!

I've driven past this place a number of times and always wanted to drop in. Today I had the chance and do glad we did. Rang beforehand and reserved a table. Our table was ready and staff were extremely welcoming. We sat down and checked the menu. I chose the Postman's Breakfast and my wife had the veggie breakfast. They were fantastic. Food was promptly made and it was delicious. Coffee was great too. Cannot fault the place or staff so thank you very much and we will certainly be back :)

Superb brunch place. Nice varied menu - soup and sandwich combination excellent value for money (went for BLT). Soup of the day also very tasty. Chorizo hash delightfully piquant - an interesting alternative to standard brunch options... Nicely decorated, very friendly owner - attentive without being intrusive. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere and polite staff, menu choice was varied and suited dietary requirements. The vegetarian breakfast was absolutely brilliant, I asked for poached eggs instead of fried and they were cooked to perfection. Thank you, will surly stop again when passing through.

My partner and I are regular visitors because we always get a good meal. The veggie breakfast, in particular, is fab. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming and seem to maintain their enthusiasm. How many coffee shops start off great then wane as the interest dies? Be aware that the premises are quite small so at busy times there can be delays, and some days the kitchen closes at 3pm. All in all though the best cafe in Ponteland.

Had a lovely breakfast sandwich there today. Everything perfect, nice sausage with no thick skin and egg cooked to perfection. Pleasant, helpful staff. Would definitely go there again.
