Very good, clean modern cafe. Given the visitor numbers post holidays and Covid, food offering not wide. Even so, they still managed to offer three different gluten free cakes for a snack. Small shop; clean loos; nice children's adventure climbing play area. And next to Pontefract Castle, which is excellent.

Great shop and cafe, prices very reasonable. Castle a great day out or a couple of hours just reading a good book. Lots for children but not too many children to ruin the quiet

Very warm welcome and excellent fresh sandwich’s made to order. I do think that it should be a law saying hot bacon sandwiches should be offered at any venue like this . . . Sadly they aren’t!

Love going here.....you can forget there is a town all around, and when you look at the trees, remember they were there after the castle!
