Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area was quite popular while we were there.
Enjoyed our visit. Madam had a jacket tate with prawns. I had liver & bacon with mashed tates etc. A little prep on the liver would be nice, I.e. remove the bagging.

We are new to the area (just moved) and my parents took us here for brunch (they know the area well) ... Wow. What a great find. Amazing food and service.

Cromwells has experienced a bit of a change since I last visited. Staff were great, a quick drink and a sweet nibble. Still quaint and interesting.
The best cafe around by far. Welcoming, warm, kind staff, relaxing away from the madding crowd but most of all food is obviously cooked and served with love. I am grateful this kind of service still exists, Thank you
Had such a lovely lunch here. Mandy your ploughman’s lunch was incredible my grandma said it was the best one she’d ever had. The staff are so lovely thank you Jane for your amazing service. Can’t wait to come back
Quirky location in an alleway just off a main shopping street.Very pleasant and chatty staff. Cosy atmosphere. Good menu and reasonably priced. Food quality is first class using good basic ingredients. And they have French dressing for salads.

Lovely traditional cafe with friendly staff. We stopped by for coffee and toasted teacake but there is a varied menu to choose from.
Food and service were excellent. Had followed a recommendation to visit Cromwell's and was very happy that we did, as we could not fault anything.

I absolutely loved the mushrooms on toast and the Camembert cheese special was delightful. We will definitely be going back.
