Great place, love travelling all the way from sunny Bodmin to visit this place. Great food, great atmosphere and one of the best views in Cornwall. We had sausage and Mash, and can honestly say was the best we had tasted that day....

Food order was refunded due to waiting over an hour, however - this was a decision made by the very pretty waitress at The Oyster Catcher and not us. We hadn't realised this time had even passed and we were also given free drinks as a thank you. Simply excellent customer service. A real benchmark to which other restaurants should aspire to achieve. Thank you.

Family of 5 for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, we decided on the Oystercatcher and we weren't disappointed. Lovely view from the outside dining areas, the service from the bar was exceptional, we were made to feel so welcome. Attentive staff, good food and a game of pool/Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, what more could you want on a Saturday afternoon! We'll be back.

We walked up for dinner, we didn't book, and all the tables were reserved as it was quiz night. The staff were very helpful, we sat at a small bar and had our dinner there. Food didn't take long to come, it was delicious and good value for money. We were disappointed that we went at the end of our holiday! Will definitely be back. Also, stunning views 😍

Went to the Oystercatcher for dinner, but had no reservation but there was room in the bar area. Had a good selection of beers and even though the restaurant was full and busy, our order was done in good time. Also benefits from having superb views across Polzeath, a really nice place for an evening out

We enjoyed our visits here. We chose to eat in the bar area which had a lively atmosphere and good music. The food was varied with lovely soup, fish, delicious curries and chicken choices- so not just bar food! Obviously went more than once!

Delicious fish and chips and lovely staff! They were gluten free which I was impressed by and the wine selection is always good. We booked on the day and they fit us in despite it being a Friday night. Only Downside is the price has increased but it was delicious so worth it for a last minute date night :)

Had a great Burger and Chips, perfectly cooked. Mrs had fish & chips. Nice lamb starter along with white bait. (I would make this lamb starter smaller so it looks/ feels less like a poo, it tasted great though) Also had the biscoff cheesecake for desert. Along with a few drinks the bill came £78ish which is reasonable. Great atmosphere with pool table and music and the sport is on 👌

Really great setting. Inviting, bright decor and great views. Food was really tasty and the service was great. Very dog friendly and our dog loved looking out of the floor to ceiling window where we were sat, the view kept her entertained during our meal! One thing to note - the online allergy menu seems to state that everything contains nuts (rather than being listed as may contain) when this isn't the case. Cleared this up with the staff who were really helpful so don't let this put you off if you have an allergy and are looking at the online menu in advance.

Beautifully maintained restaurant with great views, a short (uphill) walk from the beach, but it does have a car park if you struggle. Delicious food, great staff & very good value for money. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing, used to visit this beautiful spot 20 years ago, oh my how it's changed. This place is huge now, looks amazing and the food and accommodation is really well done. Absolutely loved our time here and staff were super friendly.

2 night stay in apartment 6. Wonderful views of beach/sea. Decor rather tired, but otherwise well fitted out. Comfortable beds, nice and clean.

Location is an 11/10! If you want a leisurely walk, hang a left and just keep walking and you will see the most breathtaking coastal views. Cajan seabass and mussels were the best I have had, and I eat a lot of fish. Service was excellent! Atmosphere was spot on, especially for the women's world cup and England rugby!

Just reading two recent reviews and think they are rather unfair, clearly fish out of their normal waters. We are not local but have visited this pub on many occasions and always found the atmosphere and service to be excellent. This is Cornwall, so seasonal, as are many of the staff, so you have to make allowances at busy times and here we have always found them friendly and attentive. Of course we are always friendly too. The views from the extended dining area are great and the decor and seating spacious and in keeping with a beachy village feel. The menu offers a good selection and although perhaps a bit pricey and portions not enormous the food is normally very well cooked and presented. We were here on a Thursday evening after the kids were back at school so not high season. It was busy but not packed and we really enjoyed our evening, thank you. The bill came to £120 plus tip for 4 people which included 4 main meals, 2 glasses of wine and 8 beers. So about 50/50 Food to drink on the bill. A great venue we will be back but will continue to avoid the really busy times.

Me and my other half came here for a date whilst on holiday, we each had starter, main, and dessert and we loved it! A bit pricey, but the food was really good quality so felt worth it in every sense! The view was spectacular, the atmosphere and decor were stunning, and the staff were friendly

Our party of four enjoyed a delicious evening meal at Oystercatcher. The food was made from high quality ingredients and presented beautifully. To earn a five star review, I would have expected the waiters to be a little more attentive during our meal, as we would have liked to request some more drinks. Overall, I would definitely return and recommend to others.
