Warm welcoming dog friendly pub. Really friendly bar staff and a very relaxing atmosphere. We took out time and we're there for a special lunch. Great food. Definitely a step up from your expected "Pub grub". Good portion sizes and a wide menu selection.
Get there early to avoid disappointment.

We came in for lunch and for a table right away. The views of Polperro from the top most deck are absolutely spectacular, and for that reason alone I would recommend heading up. You can also see seagull nests and their little chicks from up here.
