A great find. Friendly staff, good range of beers on tap (ale and lagers) and mid priced food. My wife declared her American cheese burger as the best she’d ever eaten. Just mind your head if you visit the toilets, a seriously low door. Will definitely visit again.
Friendly team with food freshly prepared and reflective of the best in British pub food. We will be back - great to see a traditional ploughman's lunch offered on the menu.
Excellent meals and good choice. I had Goan curry, very tasty and very filling. My friend had fish and chips - she too said it was very fresh and not oily.

Attended a birthday party. My first visit for many years and they have clearly redecorated the interior quite recently. The buffet was good and the service excellent. A great country pub vibe.

Lovely food in the sun. Excellent cooking of crunchy Korean chicken, selection of crispy seafood and dips, brie and bacon chips. Nom. Good selection of Gins and table service from nice people. Then they got us a cab home. Brilliant service 👏 👌
Cosy pub in an excellent location - out in the country and next to the popular Abbot's Wood. Staff were friendly but service was not ideal. The server took my order then served someone else without actually ringing my order in. I had to ask him to pay for my order. I ordered the chicken bacon stack

A very nice country pub with a lot of local history. It was very cosy and pet friendly with great beers and food on offer. We had a steak and mushroom pie and Cajun chicken burger which were both very good. Would recommend if your in the Abbots Wood area!
Went out for family birthday celebration dinner. We all had something different from the menu. Service was good, food was great and not overly priced like some pubs. Shame it was so quiet as a Saturday night. We would definitely recommend the Old Oak and go again
Friendly, traditional country pub with welcoming staff, dog friendly and generous quantities of good food. Plenty of interest on the daily specials board even on a Sunday when roasts usually predominate.
Really nice old school pub ..staff really welcoming a breath of fresh air for a change thank god...no aggressive...have you booked on our app !! or kitchen now closed or that table's reserved for others that probably wont turn up anyway ! Unfortunately most other pubs in the area or so called gastro

Celebrated a wedding reception at this venue , lovely food , fantastic setting and most of all the staff were fantastic, happy, helpful and all round brilliant , enjoyed our visit and will be back , thank you 😊
Outstanding, attended with someone with allergies, the staff and service was fantastic catering for their needs. The food (ceaser salad and burger) was outstanding, fresh and so delicious. Thank you and would definately recommend.
