Maurish has been on the list of places to eat for a while now and it did not disappoint. A great selection of vegetarian options we had the dumplings, spicy chickpea cakes, and cauliflower curry. All very delicious and we will be happy to return again soon for more delicious food!

Great little lunch place in the market. Delicious food, the pineapple and mango salad as a side was tasty enough to be a dish on it's own. It's excellent value and the service was spot-on. I'd highly recommend

Just had a cracking lunch at Maurish. Jodie is warm, friendly and very accommodating. Had the dumplings and the garlic dipping sauce, that good i had to be cheeky and add for the recipe! Maurish is a real asset to the food market community

Went out to find something interesting and tasty for lunch. Plymouth market always a win for food. Aunties aubergine curry with cod with coriander and chilli dip. Not normally a fan of aubergine but took advice and was very happy. Melted on eating with other ingredients Aroma during cooking was the start. Mix of aroma and flavour with a bit of a kick with coriander and chilli was great. Cod a lovely slightly creamy addition.

Had lunch here with a friend. The food was delicious, the prices very reasonable and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. They had a good range of Mauritian food and I'm hoping to come back here.

A great find! Been meaning to go for a while, as have heard great things, and it didn’t disappoint. We shared a veggie curry, with three dips, chutney, roti, and spicy fries for £16. We’ll definitely return.

Beautifully prepared food at a very fair price. The chilli prawn fritters were served with a very obviously freshly made coriander green chilli dip which might be the outstanding menu item. The Mauritian burger was apparently very nice, or nice enough that I wasn't offered any. What I will say is that if you're looking for a light lunch, say you might be meeting your daughter for a meal later, is not taking the Bunny Chow option on a Beef Cari could be a good call. Bunny Chow puts the delicious slow cooked beef in a hollowed out loaf of homemade bread. Fantastic, yes. Light, no. All the better for a short menu. I'd have liked to see a wider range of grownup soft drinks (homemade lemonade for example).

Tried this food the other week it was absolutely fantastic. Definitely can recommend Maurish to anyone who enjoys this type of food. Everything is made from scratch and you can really tell how the food tastes so fresh. Service is quick and efficient and Jodie is amazing at what she does.

I have eaten here several times now, absolutely stunning food, my go to dish is usually chicken curry which is great here but after tasting the beef cari- I have been converted away from my usual and it is a must have! You will not be disappointed with the menu or fresh quality of the food. mmm can't wait to visit again.
