Lovely little spot! Great portions and very fresh and delicious breakfast. The specials looks very exciting and the main menu had plenty of choices, veggie and vegan included as well as being great with allergies. Had a good laugh with some of the lovely staff about a shared allergy. Great atmosphere, lovely staff and service, 10/10 food.
Response to the owner's comments - I don't think you actually read my review properly as we did go to your Mutley Plains location (hence why I posted my review on this location, not your city one) and we ate outside. Regardless, however, since your venues are not dog-friendly, we won't be returning.

We came here for brunch on a Monday. I'm Aussie and sadly this is the first Aussie brunch place I've ever been to that is not dog-friendly so we had to eat outside, luckily it had stopped raining beforehand. We had the Veggie Mojo Sweet Corn Fritters and the EB Stack Pancakes with luxury Belgian hot chocolate and breakfast tea. The food was good, and service was attentive. Probably would have come back again on our trip but given it's not dog-friendly we decided not to.
The food was amazing. The only fault I found was they wanted the bill paid and asked if they could add a service charge to it before they actually served you anything.
Faultless. Wonderful welcome, really made to feel valued; I'd suggest that the ethos of the staff and management are bang on. Just when you thought it couldn't get better - the food. Absolutely fantastic. It's not in the touristy part of Plymouth, but walk there, drive there, or get a 42 bus there. You won't be disappointed!!
This is one of my favourite brunch spots in Plymouth! Repeatedly visit and the food, staff and atmosphere never fail! Friendly, great quality, plenty of choice and clean! Couldn't ask for much more! And local/independent! Good to see business thrive in challenging times, will continue to support
My partner and I have come twice now and we will definitely be back for more! Lovely food. The salmon bagel and eggs benedict are my personal favourites. The service is really friendly and prompt.
A little cramped but it’s Mutley and they make great use of the space. Outdoor seating and lovely lighting inside too.
Overall a gem in the city.

Wow! Sorry so late in posting. We were lucky enough to book in for the second ‘late bird’ before Christmas. We were too late to get into the first ‘late bird’ - and now I know why! I have nothing but praise for the whole evening. Greeted so warmly by the lovely staff who served an amazing cocktail as we sat down. We had a sharing platter to start - I can’t actually tell you which of the five or so choices were the best! This was followed by the best duck dish I’ve ever tasted! (The red cabbage was out of this world!) Compliments to the chef! Pudding is my thing - I’m afraid I’d eaten most of my choc torte before I took a photo!!! The meal was superb but it was also the atmosphere and the warmth from the staff that made the evening. Please do the ‘late night’ again! Lol we enjoyed the meal so much we actually went back for a late lunch the next day! Although there was a queue it moved very quickly and my word worth the wait! I suppose if people queue to go here there is certainly a good reason why! We left with two loaves of home made bread which omg - well you just need to try it! Totally recommend this family run business - how lucky is Plymouth to have not one but two Early Birds’!!!
I popped in here to grab some cakes for myself and my partner. The service was very friendly and the place had a very comfortable vibe. The cakes were delicious and we will definitely return to get more in the future.
My first time at The Early Bird so I had no expectations but I was blown away.
The place is ready well decorated and has a good vibe. We were greatest and shown to our table. We both had the breakfast stack and OMG it was amazing! Really tasty and I'd happily recommend it to anyone. I felt full after eating it. I mean I could have had more food but I didn't need it.
We only had to wait for 10 mins for a table on a busy Saturday morning which we were grateful of.
It felt were clean and safe.
Super efficient service paying when we ordered.
Super tasty Brunch, loving the smashed Avo & Poached egg.
Shame there is only 1 toilet so a bit of a wait, but loving the smellies in there!

We had an amazing experience, no wait at all as we chose to eat outside, shady but sunny!
I tried something new, the Baked potato hash with a poached egg and extra sourdough toast. Sooooo glad I did it was delightful, hubby went for the breakfast stack and was not disappointed.
We are super excited you have a new venue opening soon, even closer to us AND town, can't wait to see you there!
