I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant in Royal William Yard, and I must say, it left an unforgettable impression. The food here is nothing short of exceptional, with a uniqueness that sets it apart from any other dining experience.
Their commitment to freshness and quality ingredients is evident in every bite. Each dish is not only interesting but also memorable, leaving a lasting impression that beckoned me back for more. In fact, I couldn’t resist the temptation and returned not just once, but twice within a span of two days - once for breakfast and again for lunch!
The staff are the true gems of this establishment. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful, they make you feel right at home from the moment you step through the door. Their knowledge of the extensive gluten-free menu is impressive, catering to a wide range of dietary needs without compromising on flavor.
One of the highlights is the outdoor patio, which offers stunning views of Royal William Yard’s beautiful architecture, docked boats, and the picturesque harbor. It’s the perfect backdrop for a delightful meal, adding an extra layer of charm to an already exceptional dining experience.
If you’re seeking a restaurant that combines unique and fresh cuisine with friendly staff and a breathtaking ambiance, look no further. This place has it all and more, making it an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area. I can’t recommend it enough, and I’ll certainly be returning for many more memorable meals in the future.

There is a very sad story behind our visit last Friday, my brother has a table booked for him and his wife for her birthday, and she passed away on the Thursday, as Friday was her birthday, a quick call at ten o'clock was all it took for the amazing staff to set up a tables for 19 booked in at 1pm, we were able to celebrate a wonderful lady in a fantastic way, with great food and service, we will be forever grateful to the staff for going above and beyond thank you all so much ❤️
Absolutely loved this place! Perfect spot to come and relax on a hot summers day with a group of friends. The Royal William Yard where Seco is located is a fantastic location with a great view over the marina. There’s a great selection of drinks on offer and the staff here are incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is also really good. I went for the pulled brisket chilli which I really enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this a place to visit if you are in the area!
I quite liked this place. OK, it's a bit theme-y but was pleasantly busy with a bit of atmosphere. We ate here and, although I suspect a lot of the food comes from a factory, it was tasty and well presented...but I do wish restaurants would own up to buying in food.
16 of us came here for my daughter's graduation and everyone enjoyed their meal. Friendly staff especially the manager (Hugh maybe?). Would be nice to be able to order drinks for a large group at the table.
The food here is always excellent, the bar staff are great, you can order on the app so no worries about queuing. Very accommodating for young children that are board games and high chairs and colouring. The menu is very nice. I've never been disappointed with any of the food I've ordered. Also the same for the drinks, The soft drink specials or really nice.
Awesome little place. I live in Stonehouse but have only just found this great little place.
I went there for lunch with my family (5 adults and 2 children). They're really accommodating, child friendly, and also dog friendly as there were several dogs in the establishment. It's also wheel chair accessible, is on the ground floor, and has parking very close by. They've got colouring to keep the kids entertained until your food arrives and also high chairs for the younger ones. The staff were super friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. You really do get service with a smile at this place, which was nice to see.
The food was super tasty (I had the tapas), and all the other food that arrived looked and tasted equally as good. Considering the exclusive, beautiful location like the Royal William Yard, the prices of the food and drink were really good and actually cheaper than some places I've eaten in the city centre.
I completely forgot to take photos for this review, but I'll be going there again very soon, so I'll edit and add photos to this review, so people can see what they're missing out on.

A lovely social place in the heart of Royal Williams Yard, it was busy when we arrived but the staff were happy to find us a table. The three of us ordered mains, a tapas board and a flatbread. The tapas dishes were a little smaller than I would have liked. The same could be said for the pasta dish I had but it was all delicious! There was a little heat problem with one of the dishes but they were happy to sort it out and so quickly! My vegetarian friend lovely her dish too! The staff were honestly the best, they were all so friendly and made it a beautiful experience! Certainly worth a visit if you want to get away from the drab city center.
Love this place. Well laid out with plenty outdoor seating overlooking harbour. Not too many gulls around so it is lovely outside on a warm day. Inside is cozy with the usual mismatched furniture. Dogs are allowed. Food is very good with a vegetarian and vegan menu. Drinks are varied, they do a delicious home made lemonade! Car park in vicinity. All in all a great place to visit and enjoy.
Great selection for people with allergies and vegans. Relaxed informal atmosphere, super friendly staff who obviously enjoy what they're doing.
This place is in a great location, the menu is extensive and the quality is excellent.
Also very close to some beautiful views of the sea so if you're there you can really enjoy the views
This appeared to be a popular place to visit in Royal William Yard. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with lots of different seating arrangements. Staff were friendly and helpful and service was quick. Seco Lounge offer web/app ordering which makes bill splitting so much easier. Plenty of drinking water stations dotted around and lots of variety on the drinks menu. The food was really tasty with lots of great options on the menu to suit varying appetites. Ideal place to pop in for a cocktail and snack as well as lunch or a more substantial meal. Will be returning again.
This place is in a great location, the menu is extensive and the quality is amazing. Treat yourself to an afternoon in the sun here and you won’t be disappointed. I imagine evening dining would be just as good, so I’ll be doing that next time! Thanks very much
Amazing place. Highly recommend
One of my favourite places to eat in Plymouth. Stunning views. Great location
Staff are welcoming friendly and helpful.
Food is delicious. Plenty of choices. Vegetarian options dietary preferences available.
Seating is great, lots of room. Accessible toilets.
My work hired the back room for our Christmas party. There was a private bar, staff were fab. Tables were done up. Food came out quickly and was delicious.
Will return again.
Wonderful atmosphere, attentive staff and exceptional food.
The perfect Birthday breakfast for our friend.
Great selection for people with allergies and vegans. The food photo is the vegan tapas. Relaxed informal atmosphere, super friendly staff who obviously enjoy what they're doing. All round perfect whether it's for two people or twenty, there's something for everyone.
Great food, fantastic place for a few cocktails during sunset
Just had a few beers and some cocktails. Nice friendly staff. A bit pricey but you're paying for the lovely setting. Can't comment on the food but probably the nicest part of Plymouth to go out.
Lovely place to eat, although a big place it had a cosy feel. The food was delicious and was reasonably priced
