An absolutely amazing experience, clubhouse is rich with history, the crowds are friendly yet very passionate. Well worth taking in a game or two.
Absolutely fantastic club, pleasure to visit.
Great place for local and international games, parties galore, bar, insert cover and wonderful atmosphere
Being a Gloucester rugby fan I wasn't excited to be going to Plymouth Rugby but I wasn't there to watch the rugby I was there for a physio appointment but the staff were helpful at both the physio and rugby club giving me directions how to get out when the gates were shut.
Arrived about 45 minutes before the 3 pm kick off and things were already buzzing with noise and atmosphere being generated by some youngsters who were to play an exhibition at half time already in the stand. Easy access to the car park although signage was poor except at the final.turning. parking was free which put me in a generous mood. parked easily and paid for entry at the entry kiosk. Was offered a concession but although I qualified, declined preferring the saving to go into the club. Stewards were really friendly offering guidance to the sand and clearly interacted very positively with the regulars. Already this welcoming experience was contributing to a good visit.
Walking across the front of the grandstand towards the bars and pasty concessions was easy, again being acknowledged by friendly stewards. A big steak pasty and a coffee whilst watching the opposition (Leeds Tykes) warm up was clear and the other supporters around were savouring the atmosphere. The bars were well staffed and none too busy at this time with bar prices being very acceptable. Toilets were clean and functional which is truly a godsend when visiting from a distance. No one wants to wade in and wade out but these on offer were clean and well maintained.
Kick off loomed and we made our way to the Grandstand where access was easy with plenty of seating available. Bench and squad players sat in front and were happy to engage with nearby supporters. The feeling of team spirit was high amongst those around me, young and old. Across from the grandstand (seated) was a further smaller stand (standing) that generated some vocal support heard around the whole ground.
I'm not a groundsman but the pitch looked well cared for and didn't offer any unexpectedly difficult footing or ball bounces due to divots or undulations. There were further bars around the ground with large screen TVs in them.although I didn't bust, just looked in from the outside. No queues visible and all appeared.well staffed. The PA announcer was clear a local boy and was very supportive of the Albion. Full time and players were accessible to talk with if you wanted, and every one of them appeared happy and engaging. ( A 50 point schooling if Leeds obviously helped but previous visits where the score was less impressive and occasionally not in Albion's favour don't seem to effect his aspect of the squad). All in all a really good experience from start to finish with everyone associated with it contributing. Something the club should be very proud of. Totally recommend this for a great afternoon, win lose or draw. Come on you Janners!
Watched a pre season decent game of rugby.
Good day out great rugby nice 🍺 beer family friendly
Great place to watch some ruggers with pint & pasty!
Great starting point and finish for the St Luke's Men's Day Out. Well organised as usual thanks all.
Sadly not at Albion for rugby or a pint or 3, I'll say 3 because i should be semi responsible posting here! Booster jab. Usually go to pavilions for the jabs. Albion much like pavilions has been reassigned shall we say. Albion is well set up with social distancing, and monitored. Very large car park, ultra friendly staff. I have to say, with every person they helped, (us), they, (don't like using "they", as everyone has a name),had to repeat the same questions and give the same advice over and over, but the enthusiasm and commitment never feigned. True commitment in helping others was clearly there. I expressed my gratitude, and it was greatly received. Be sure to do the same. It makes a massive difference. I'm off work for the holidays, the staff here, are clearly not.Take care, be safe. Marcus.
Visited for covid booster Oct 2022. Well organised, easy parking, hardly a queue, in and out in a few minutes, competent helpful staff.
It's a small rugby pitch, vaccination centre is currently running in one of the buildings. Little more to say, but if you enjoy the game it's well worth a visit.
Visited to receive my second Covid jab. Initially I was to go to Plymouth Cricket club, but the venue changed.
Well organised, staff on hand to direct you to the club house where the vaccinations were taking place. No queue, in and out in 5 minutes.
Went there for our second Covid jab, being disabled, we were able to park close to the entrance and it's ground floor, so easier than the Cricket Club where we had the first jab, polite and friendly team, can't fault it.
Cheerful place to have a beer or coffee.

Fun place for a wedding with plenty of helpful staff to help your day go well.
to whom it may concern. I live in a block of flats with all elderly and disabled residents near Albion, and have to put up with constant noise from players training. I'm sure in a match the players do not shout loudly at each other, so why in practice?.. A couple of weeks ago I complained about horrific noise during a music?? festival. Now I am having to put up with very loud noise in the afternoon whilst the Marines rehearse for an evening show. this for four afternoons and evenings until 10.30 PM. I have to close all my windows and sweat in the hot weather we are having. I think you could at least turn the volume down whilst rehearsing. you are supposed to be a rugby club not an entertainment venue!!. I have complained to the council and feel I must try and take the matter further. I left my name and telephone number which you have ignored. yours sincerely Mr A Corbyn
