The venue for an amazing party! Together with the pub staff/management we organised a fabulous surprise party for my parents Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Function room was great, staff were helpful and accomodating from start to finish and food was AMAZING (plenty of it, great quality and variety). Would definitely recommend and I am sure we will be using their services again. Thanks Hyde Park Pub.

Had a fantastic tipsy afternoon cream tea party, here to celebrate my mum's 60th birthday. The bar staff were excellent and very knowledgeable about the Gins we tried. A fab experience which I would highly recommend. Will visit again soon with some more friends.

Just left the Hyde Park after an amazing hen party in the upstairs 'Gin Palace'. Thank you Emma & Steve for allowing us to hold the party there and thank you too for the lovely prosecco. The food (cream tea) was amazing Emma. Everything was perfect and the desserts were to die for, especially the gin dessert. Finally thanks to Phil the amazing bar 'gentleman' who joined in with all the fun and games, took a lot of banter and made the most amazing cocktails for us all. He was full of fun and deserved a special mention. Highly recommended and we will return soon.

A very interesting well run pub. Polite staff and the pub is very clean. Had a great meal, good size and good quality. Nice to have a fire going to keep the chill away

Slow service and staff didn't really know what they were doing. Food was well worth the wait though - scrummy and loads of it. Fantastic place to eat .

Lovely roast. Great interior. Loved the smartly dressed staff and music not too loud so you could still have a conversation

Can't comment on food as I didn't see any but it's a very interesting olde world pub,, in the heart of student land but with a good mix of people. Great selection of spirits and they have DOUBLE DIAMOND ALE a proper blast from the past which is brewed in house. Not quite like DD of old but great. Doggy friendly, as has been mentioned a massive array of memorabilia.. Highly Recrommded.

Up the Argyle!! Haven't been in this pub since my retirement do in 2010 !! It's had a makeover with a conservatory but it is very much a "real traditional pub" with a good vibe to it. Only popped in for a quick pint with my Grandson but it was busy with lots of people eating food which looked good. Even better, they had Jail ale plus a rave from the grave they make their own Double Diamond which was my first pint ( illegally of course ) back in the 60's. And it cost me 1s 8d. !!! Good to see waiters/waitresses in uniform around the place....as I said...really good feel to the pub.....nice and friendly bar staff too. Will be back....

Went for a lovely breakfast. Full English was great and reasonably priced. A little disappointed with the pancakes as they were small and hard....

Really great food. It took a little while to arrive but that was to be expected as it was full to capacity! The staff did mention there could be a 40 minute wait but it arrived on time. Generous portions and very tasty. The Doom Bar ale was perfect. Possibly the best pint of it Ive had anywhere. The inside and outside (and toilets) of the building are covered with vintage and collectable advertising memorabilia. Very interesting and also distracting when eating! A great experience. Well worth checking out.

Gave food 4* but only because i didn't eat probably a 5. Saw others that did have chicken and chips and it looked good. Quite small building but good atmosphere, nice beer garden if weather is ok. Reasonable choice of drinks but shots not allowed.

The food is always lovely, good drink selection, friendly staff and great atmosphere. The only downside, for me, is that, many times, the food takes ages to arrive and they can forget sauces... such as peppercorn sauce. Regardless, it's definitely worth a visit.

Went for a lunch with 7 friends. The service was friendly. It was a shame that, although there are lots to choose from for a lunch much of it wasn't there due to delivery options. However was did come was lovely. I ordered a bacon, chicken and brie flatbread and it was stunning. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Lunch did take a while but they wanted us to have it all together as a lunch which I understood. Really enjoyed it.

My partner and I stumbled across this place walking through Plymouth, it's just so cool, lovely staff and atmosphere, fast service, gorgeous premises outside and inside, and the best ladies bathroom with an immense amount of cosmetics when you need a refresh, food and wine were awesome, I'm just so impressed ! If I could've stayed there all day I would have, if i lived in Plymouth I'd probably be there every day. We'll be back 😃
