I had the Afternoon tea for one and it was gorgeous. The scone melted in your mouth. Everyone was so kind and just lovely.

Shared a lovely savoury and sweet cream tea with Suzanne Freeman at this fantastic little tea room yesterday afternoon. Proper cup of tea served in a real teapot and lovely China cup and saucer. We will be back soon.

Beautiful afternoon tea! Lovely settings, tasty scones, warm and fresh. Tea was just how I like it, steaming hot! Friendly and helpful staff who were most obliging! Highly recommended!

Very pleasant experience here at the Tudor Rose Tearooms. It was quite a relaxing atmosphere to go here with friends. Our traditional afternoon tea and savoury scones were splendid. I very much enjoyed the lemon cake with poppy seeds, which I paired marvellously with the left over clotted cream from the scone. Our teapots came with an adorable knitted cover which was lovely. Service was splendid

Absolutely fantastic afternoon tea! Best vegan afternoon tea I've had, the variety of vegan food was great, the scones were perfect. Unlimited tea refills- lovely! The customer service was excellent too, very friendly and welcoming and eager to help. And they knew to ask to take a group photo which I think is very good customer service training 😉A small mix up with cows milk and oat milk but it was quickly resolved by the staff with no hassle. And the tea cosies were a laugh! Highly recommended.

Unique venue: very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I had the Sunday roast and the pudding with hot cross bun bread which were included in the Easter menu. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly and professional. If you are visiting Plymouth I would suggest to come and visit and have your lunch or afternoon tea which seems delicious too.

Wanted to leave a review for The Tudor Rose after we went last week. We decided to try it as we like to get afternoon tea in the different places we visit and it sounded like a lovely place
and we’re so glad we did. We were a ‘walk in’ and had not booked, when we asked the lovely lady that greeted us about it she was really nice and friendly and said they take walk ins and there was no problem. We got the Ultimate Afternoon Tea which also included a miniature cup of soup which was something different but was really nice. The food was great and really filling but we were told we could get any uneaten items bowed up to take with us. My wife doesn’t drink tea or coffee but there was absolutely no problem for her to swap out for a different drink. The staff were all lovely and the place had a lovely charm about it. All the teapots had different tea cosies on them which made us smile and added to the charm of the place. If you like afternoon tea and you’re in the Plymouth area, search this place out because it’s a lovely place.

This was a lovely place to have a wonderful cream tea! The people who work here are all super sweet and welcoming, and I would definitely recommend a visit here. My aunt got the vegan cream tea, and the heart shaped vegan scones were really good! I got a creme tea with hot chocolate (the hot chocolate wasn't anything amazing, but the scones were amazing), and my wife and friend each got a traditional cream tea. We all really enjoyed the whole experience!

We had the finger sandwiches and cup of soup for lunch, it was wonderful. Sat in the courtyard even if it was raining a bit. Very nice atmosphere. It was a Sunday and as we just dropped in we couldn’t have the roast beef as they were sold out. However, we ask if we could have a taste of the roast beef as it was cooked for 7 hrs. Louise, the owner gave us a nice plate and it was the best we have ever eaten! So if you happen to go to Plymouth we highly recommend that you stop at Luoise’s The Tudor Rose restaurant!

OH and I have been meaning to visit this tea room for a while, and finally decided to pop in one drizzly afternoon. We were met with a warm welcome at the door and seated promptly. The inside is decorated with a vintage feel and feels very cosy. OH went for a traditional cream tea and I chose the savoury cream tea (I’m much more of a savoury person). Food was delicious and I absolutely loved the wizard tea cosy! We did have a little nose at what some of the other tables had ordered, and the full afternoon tea looked very impressive. I would definitely recommend Tudor Rose, and will be back to try their afternoon tea!

Had afternoon tea at Tudor Rose Tearooms and really loved it! The scones were incredibly delicious and still a bit warm, just perfect. The design of the place was great. Seating in the garden was wonderful, especially in the sun. If I ever find myself in Plymouth again, I'll definitely be coming back

An absolutely lovely place, beautifully set in a gorgeous historic building, with exceptional service, helping us to account for allergies. The food was incredible and excellent value for money. Freshly baked scones, still warm from the oven.

Perfect to visit as a small group or a couple. Greeted with a smile and shown to our table in the beautiful courtyard. We had the Devonshire Cream Tea at £6.25. This featured two traditional homemade scones served warm with strawberry jam, Rodda’s clotted cream and a pot of Drake blend Plymouth tea. The Tearooms and Garden is situated in one of many listed buildings on New Street, which is one of the oldest streets in Plymouth.
