Gorgeous food!! Pleasant staff and good prices...only thing I'd say is that I had a mixed grill and there was no egg on it even though it said there is on the menu but staff was very apologetic and we shall definitely visit again! Can't fault the food,prices and staff xx ����
Love the grill ordered my food as an xl mix grill didn't get the xl however the staff were so aplogetic and replaced the meal the waitress their was also very kind
Just want to say what a great night myself and 2 of my bestest friends had this evening. I booked the Christmas menu a while back and could not fault anything about this evening. The staff and food were amazing. A real credit to you all from the bar staff waiting staff and not forgetting the chefs who cooked an incredible three course Dinner for us all. Not a bad thing to say. Hubby loves it steaks always cooked to perfection for us. The amount of reserved tables are more than a little annoying we didnt realise our table was resvered so was asked too move. A poor lady was waiting half hour for a table and eventually got ours. May be at this time of year the pool table should go and those breakfast bar high tables should go aswell. More ppl go out for food this time of year. Not a criticism just an observation.
The service was prompt. The food was good value and tasted good. My only criticism is that the table wasn’t cleaned after the previous customer. There were still crumbs on the table.
Just a great happy pub, superb real ales, if you like ales +ciders its a must, new addition from hansons ( Olde Trip) is on of the best from them superb ale very moorish ,, well done Mo,happy days..
I have been here in the past and have found the food to be far from perfect. However today we thought that we would give this place another try. The food was absolutely AMAZING!!!!I could not fault it whatsoever. I definitely will be back. Top marks from me.

Slightly disappointed with the mix up on table bookings, however I didn't want to spoil their evening out so vacated the table.
Would like to say the assistant who I spoke with was excellent.
We were a large party, close to 30. The food all came out in quick succession so no one person was waiting. The food was great, service from the staff was outstanding and they did a great job. Thanks so much.
I don't understand for the underrated reviews but this one of the best restaurant to have a meal, fun and get all great staff with lots of smiles serving you. I enjoyed their food every singe time. I hardly eat almost everyday in one pub previously. Now I'm at Tamar almost everyday with a lot all of dishes choices, great steaks at very reasonable price. I highly recommend Tamar for eat alone or with friends or family.
Had 2 lovely meals at the Tamar this is the fourth time we have been there and each time it as been great and the lady called Rachel was very lovely and nothing was to much trouble for her, would definitely go back again and we be recommending the Tamar if you won't value for money.

The staff here are so friendly and always go out of their way to help.
We have even had our kiddies birthday party meals here - seamless tastey hot food delivered to everyone with no problem.
Few weeks ago I went with my family, the atmosphere was loud and crowded however it was a football night so I guess that’s expected, staff were friendly, and the food was delicious, I’m coeliac and did not experience cross contamination of gluten or anything, the Cajun chicken I ate was so juicy, tender and flavoursome. My family enjoyed their meals too. The tamar is one of my favourite places to eat.
My local and Great for a quick and cheerful lunch. Today we had a slight issue with the food. I Can only say what amazing customer service I received. It's so hard to find a great pub like this. I recomed
Superb pub for food and beer especially real ales of which 3-4 on sale daily, visited today+10%discount for Camra members(show card) great staff especially Rachel for looking after the ales superbly, Sian for her bubbly personality, just a great place to visit, happy days
The staff was lovely kind and welcoming they couldn’t of done anything more then what they did the food was obviously amazing and great value for the price as well the atmosphere was great it was a great time going there would highly recommend going here if anyone is looking for a lovely evening

I’ve had food & drinks here a couple times in the Easter break with my kids & friends!
Food was amazing both times. The restaurant gets very busy so I suggest trying to reserve a table as the pub side gets busy & loud with the sports showing on the TVs.
Menu is amazing so looking forward to going back to try some more of it. Lots of good deals like 2 meals for £11.99 & BOGOF on burgers on Thursdays!! Highly recommend.
