Went to Bella italia Derrys cross yesterday before an elf performance - to be honest I tried to book a table through the automated system who told me I couldn’t have a table however I persevered and rang direct through to the restaurant who got us a table at the time we wanted - the ordering service was quick - meal came to the table quick the food was exceptional but I have to give a special shout out to John - the waiter who was just lovely - nothing was too much effort - thank you John you made our experience a lovely one - will be returning x many thanks x
Lovely catch up with a friend...delicious meal, wine went down a treat and topped it off with Gelato. Friendly, helpful staff, even let us move tables away from loud people! Recommend Bella Italia to everyone. ������

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time on Friday night and couldn't have been more impressed! The calamari was the best we've ever had and the rest of the food was beautiful! What made it amazing was out waiter (I wish I asked this name) he had a bald head, quite tanned and late 30's he was absolutely fantastic- really couldn't have been more attentive, friendly and there was this really nice vibe from him. We will definitely be back �
First time at this Restaurant..found the food very good, service was very good also...staff very pleasant & attentive. Would highly recommend going. Great position if you are going to the Theatre or Pavilions.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, food was absolutely delicious considering I had a Groupon offer of a two course meal for two for £18 but for the quality of the food and service I would definitely pay full price, will be recommending to all of my friends for our afternoon lunch meetings �

Great service as always in here, tried three different dishes and they were absolutely lovely, very impressed as always, tried the crab cakes, duck pasta and morello cherry cake and would highly recommend each dish :) look forward to coming back here and hopefully booking for my birthday, John the servicer was amazing as always- hard at work and always with a smile on his face!
We tried to book a table on line but said was busy, so we dropped in on the off chance and the guys accommodated us to a tee! Service food and good wine, amazing will be calling back again

Great restaurant in a very handy location in the centre with good service and attentive staff. Authentic Italian food cooked to a 'tee'. Access to the restaurant is good but a climb to the toilets for the infirm.
Very tasty pasta and pizza, we got our food in less than 10 minutes. Coffee was not the best but overall it was great
Great food and very friendly staff. Ordered a lovely variety between my cousin and I 😂 I used Tesco vouchers and the staff dealt with this no questions asked. Would highly recommend.

Had a very enjoyable three course meal last night as part of a groupon offer. The service was quick and the waiters were both polite and professional. I had heard that the food quality had dropped but I can definitely say that was not the case. All the courses were delicious, all hot food was a perfect temperature and very good value.
Had a very enjoyable evening. If I had to say anything negative it would be the mismatched furniture, mixed lighting (one room a harsh white light and one room a warmer yellow light). Probably a bit more comfort and a bit of modernising would make this place very popular.
Booked here using a partner deal and was our first time trying out a Bella Italia. It was a birthday treat whilst staying overnight in Plymouth, for my daughter. She loved it. We had 3 courses and our waiter, who was fairly new, was really lovely, friendly. We weren’t left waiting long between courses and drinks, a mocktail and a cocktail, were fairly priced and very nice.
Our only complaint was the very strong smell of cigarette smoke blowing in from outside at one point, not sure if someone had left the door open and was smoking right there (we were sat where we couldn’t see the door), but it was very, very strong at one point, like the old days, but eventually subsided, thank goodness.
Apart from that, our experience was great and most of all, it made my daughter’s birthday special, so would recommend.
This evening had an amazing meal at this restaurant, sampled the new menu and my husband & myself were so impressed!!!!! Daniel was our waiter for the evening and couldn't have been more attentive - thank you Daniel.
Would so recommend the arancini for starter and the tagliatelle for main. It's a difficult choice for dessert as they all look amazing.
Don't forget to try one of the new cocktails too.

I love eating here. The food is always delicious and a good, varied lunch time menu. We always have the same waitress....and I'm sure she won't mind me saying, but it's the lady with the tattoos....and she is FABULOUS. We look forward to seeing her when we go. Would definitely recommend Plymouth Bella Italia.
For the past 2 Saturdays we’ve been served by the amazing Christina. She is warm, welcoming, funny and very efficient. Her customer service skills are second to none. Her and Lisa are the best there, Bella Italia you are lucky to have them. The breakfast is always good, quality products used, and it’s always beautifully cooked and presented. We only came in a few months ago as our other regular breakfast haunt was closed due to kitchen problems. We’ve been coming here ever since. I’m looking forward to a great breakfast today, along with a good bit of banter with Christina or Lisa.
Service was good, atmosphere very pleasant and the prices were reasonable. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because my puttanesca pizza didn't have any olives or capers. I should have complained at the time and, I'm sure, they would have sorted it but, we were on a schedule for the theatre. I'd still recommend the place though.
Went here with a party of 17 for a family birthday. The pre-ordered food arrived promptly and efficiently. was well cooked and of good quality. The service was courteous and friendly.Like most chain restaurants it feels a little soulless but this is a minor quibble.
Well worth a visit.
First time there and the food was amazing. Have to go again!
