Can't recommend this place enough! Came in and was immediately pleased by the cosy interior. Then the food came and it was great value for money. Big portions and tasted great. The only confusing thing about the experience was that it seemed to be table service as when we sat down a server brought over a menu. Then checked on us to see if the meal was OK. However, when they took our plates away they didn't say anything about the bill. Thinking that they'd eventually come over, we waited. Ended up going up to the till when we were leaving to pay the bill. Not a big deal at all but something to remember when going there. Definitely recommend giving this place a try.

On a short break in Plymouth, looking for a good straight forward all day breakfast. What I found in Cafe Bistro 23 was a superb all day breakfast. Clean and comfortable in a contemporary style, friendly helpful staff. Ordered a Classic Breakfast at 3.30pm no problem, could I have scrambled instead of fried eggs, no problem. £5 including a mug of nice tea bought, 2 lovely large sausages nice and meaty, 2 quality smoked bacon rashers, lovely thick white toast, quality beans and hash brown, as well as the eggs. Great value and fantastic quality, extremely happy 😁😁😁😁.

I have been a couple of times. On my last visit I ordered eggs florentino. When it arrived there was bacon under my eggs. I don't eat bacon. It was quickly whisked away and a fresh dish prepared. It was a fresh meal, they didn't just remove the bacon. Mistakes happen, it is how they are dealt with that matters. Cafe Bistro 23 dealt well with the problem well. The coffee was pretty good too 😁

Food is always good, tried lots on the menu. Staff today were amazing, they were run off their feet but still very pleasant and helpful. Really like it here...breakfast and a tea for £5, can't fault it 😊

After looking for a place to get a reasonable priced all day breakfast we stumbled across Cafe Bistro 23. Lovely cafe with extremely friendly staff and amazing food, at a very cheap price. Got the Β£5 breakfast and drink meal and enjoyed every bite. Will be going again and again, also the milkshakes are to die for.

I went for lunch today with my husband and he tried the drunken noodles, he did say it was one of the best meals that he had ever had. He really enjoyed it and said he will without doubt be going back to try something else. We would most definately recommend this place and the drunken noodles. My steak and red union cheese melt baguett was also very nice. Good value and service always with a friendly smile and chat.

Was in Plymouth City centre with my partner, during storm Ciatria and went into Cafe Bistro 23 for some respite from the high winds and driving rain. Both opted for the full English Breakfast 😊 Was not disappointed, fresh bread, fresh eggs. The full monty was both filing and good value for money. Eaten there b4 and again was not disappointed when visiting my home City of Plymouth. So if on Plymouth and looking for a good honest meal at a good price, give it a visit πŸ˜‹

Popped in and had two meals from the lunch time menu. The Wife had Pad Thai and I had the Thai stir fry. Both were really good and tasty. Will be going back again soon.πŸ‘

Nice place, in the town centre, foods not presented very well but is super tasty, prices are good, clean inside. Not a huge bistro but big enough, seemed popular as quite a fee people came and went whilst waiting for food.

If you catch this cafe on a good day(most days) the food and service are outstanding, but catch them on a bad day and you will say I am never going to eat there again. Good prices and very good food.

It has now become a family tradition. It has the best and biggest English Breakfast in the South West. Rest of the food is simply delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
