Fantastic restaurant and one of Plymouth’s gems. Had a lovely meal here for my boyfriend’s birthday, the food was delicious and beautifully presented, lovely setting with a relaxed atmosphere, and we loved the menu and the choice. The service was what really set it apart though - exceptionally attentive and thoughtful staff. Our waiter asked if it was a special occasion and later appeared with our desserts bringing a decorated birthday plate of chocolate treats as an extra. Highly recommend a visit.
Fantastic place, favourite restaurant in Plymouth hands down ! Outstanding flavour combinations, comfortable and friendly atmosphere with pleasant, welcoming staff.
I come here regularly and will continue to do so.
Highly recommend the squid starter, pork curry and hot chocolate tart desert. Compliments to all kitchen and front of house staff. 🖒
Was a bit worried as no chicken on the menu but asked for a child's roast beef which was no problem and it was amazing the best roast I have had in any restaurant. Dad and my son had the pulled pork burger and they loved that too. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone
Great atmosphere, great venue with a very sophisticated feel. The cocktails are to die for and the simple menu is always a delight.
Feels like a treat every time we visit.
Having travelled from Nottingham we were booked into this restaurant with family. A lovely setting with lots of nooks and crannies!
Being a vegetarian I opted for the beetroot and goats cheese starter, the paneer curry for my main and roasted figs for dessert - WOW! Every dish was so tasty and delicious. Everything was beautifully presented and all the ingredients used were fresh and tasty. It was refreshing to see such imagination with vegetarian food - not a boring risotto in sight!
We would really like to visit again when we come to Plymouth!
Fantastic dinner ....Could not fault it !!...Flavours/Presentation and service were all 10/10...
I would recommend Salumi Bar & Eatery to everyone !!
Lovely food, fantastically presented, I had the scotch egg to start, yolk was runny and perfect, ox cheek just fell to bits, absolutely stunning, ended with figs, superb, friendly staff, what more can I say.
Quirky interior with lots to take in, food was beautifully served and delicious, top place to eat & we had children aged 9 to 14 with us xXx
Amazing as always! Venison salami starter with the tastiest salad. I always choose the ox cheek as it's delicious, but my favourite is the delicious lemon posset desert, with so many different tasty elements. Thank you, be back very soon!
Great salumi burger, lovely Cornish stout, fried chillies. Location ideal for a show at the pavilions after.
Lovely place with good service. Food was great. I’m not a pudding person but shared the hot chocolate and caramel tart with my husband, it was divine. Will definitely be visiting again.
Wonderful place, lovely and delicious food, really nice and welcoming staff, highly recommended A*
Came here with my dad for lunch on Tuesday and it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time! Will definitely be back again soon and will be sure to recomend
I highly recommend Salumi restaurant to anyone seeking a remarkable dining experience.
Salumi truly provides an outstanding dining experience. The steak night was a delightful culinary journey, and the staff's attentiveness and kindness towards our little one added a heartwarming touch to the evening. The quality of the food was exceptional, leaving a lasting impression on our palates. I also had the best cheesecake ever!
The portions served were generous, ensuring that guests leave the restaurant fully satisfied.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, creating a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the meal.
Undoubtedly, Salumi stands out as one of the best restaurants in town, offering a combination of exceptional food, welcoming ambiance, and excellent service.
I've also heard other customers saying that they experienced their best meal in a long time. This reinforces the restaurant's reputation as a must-try establishment in the culinary scene.
The availability of ample parking space outside further enhances the convenience of the dining experience.
The overall excellence, from the exceptional food to the warm atmosphere and attentive staff, make it a standout choice for those looking to indulge in a memorable and enjoyable culinary adventure.
Lovely cozy atmosphere, delicious food! We were a table of 5 & each of us had a huge variety of dishes. I enjoyed a scotch egg & a bacon chop! Everything was so juicy, tasty & flavourful. The waiter that looked after us was super friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Thank you!.
Great little independent restaurant with a good buzzy atmosphere. We had to wait a little while on a Saturday night to get in but had a good time.
The food was delicious, well thought through and clearly "created" and prepared on site (they aren't always). Waiting staff good and friendly but did make a couple of mistakes.
Not cheap, but quality costs. We found that the sharing platters or things like burgers were better value than the "signature" dishes.
Recommended and certainly beats all the chains.
A delightful little place. Top marks to the staff. They are welcoming, helpful and very professional with touches to service suitable for a high end dining experience. The food was lovely and presented beautifully. I took a point off as serving on paper was not ideal and the menu is limited. Not enough to stop me going there again though. Totally recommend this restaurant.
Had an amazing anniversary dinner here.
Absolutely stunning.
The food was incredible, the staff were amazing definitely felt like I was welcome there and really loved every second of it.
I can't wait to go there again!
We all know having a roast out is always difficult when the best roasties are home made and the gravy from a restaurant is never up to scratch.........however, this roast dinner was by far the best 'non home' roast dinner we have had.
Husbands pork and beef (you can add any other meat for an extra £4.50) were suitably crispy crackling and succulent beef. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, the cauliflower cheese was unctuous and the glossy gravy was glorious.
Such a lovely place, very relaxing atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing, the Banana Mai Tai cocktail is probably the best cocktail I've ever tasted 😍
We were in a rush and got there just before the kitchen opened, but thanks to the very efficient and friendly service, we got to enjoy our dinner just in time.
Absolutely Delicious.
Salumi never ceases to amaze me with the quality & standard to their dishes. Today we visited as a cheeky treat lunch and we we’re not disappointed.
Everything was full of flavour and just left you wanting more. Stunning.
Such an asset to Plymouth. Thanks team (service was friendly & excellent as usual)!
Awesome chill spot away from the crowds, food is delicious & the vibes are great. Too bad the plants in the toilet were fake, otherwise looking forwarding to coming back if I’m ever in Plymouth again.
Christmas Eve 2022, the grandchildren have covid and are not coming to visit me. Plan B - decamp from Bath, bullet down to Plymouth in the early morning and start signing off pubs on the Cask Marque Ale Trail
The Salumi Bar is very different from the usual venues on The Trail. It once was a pub, according to a staff member, but it's far from one now.
More of an upmarket Bistro, serving refined dining and a comprehensive drinks list. The only Ale on offer, and the sole purpose* of my visit, was Tribute 4.2% St Austell brewery, which was in very good condition and worthy of the Accreditation awarded.
*The sole purpose it may have been, but I was somewhat taken by the ambience of the establishment and stayed for a light lunch. Even the starters are quite filling.
'Atmosphere' loses one star because the background music does not go well with the otherwise refined ambience. Something less strident would be more conducive.
