Love it here... tucked away in a side street of the Barbican, quaint, but welcoming atmosphere. Came here today with my mum for lunch, mum had the steak, myself, the Fishermans Gumbo...... delicious. Great value for money, served by friendly attentive staff, will definitely be back for more ........
This place is amazing. If you are looking for a homely kinda pub, then this is the place. The alcoholic drinks variety is outstanding. But the main choice for this pub is how DOG FRIENDLY they are. Great pub, lovely atmosphere inside and the food is the best pub food I’ve had in Plymouth. There’s a nice range of beers (recommend you try the Mr Jones beer, named after the landlady’s dog), the pub is dog friendly, and the landlord and landlady are both dog lovers, with treats and water available
Eaten here twice now, food well priced and quality good. Well decorated pub, good atmosphere and very busy. Huge spirit selection and good pint of red stripe.

Off the beaten path but worth it to take the time to find. Wonderful, friendly staff. Best Olives I have had. Great fish and chips. We will return before we leave Plymouth.
Without doubt the best pub food I've had in Plymouth. I had the Mackerel Pate with warm bread and onion chutney as a starter which was a good size, presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. For main I had the tray baked short crust steak and ale pie with creamy mash and seasonal vegetables with gr
