We came in here for lunch the other day, thoroughly enjoyed the food especially the rib of beef which was cooked to perfection. Said we will come back before we leave and here we are. I had the Rib eye which once again was cooked perfectly and my wife had the Lasagna and that was lovely too. The host on our lunch visit made us feel very welcome and equally the host tonight was more than welcoming. The pub itself is beautiful. Great value for money huge portions π π
Turned up here on a Thursday evening 9/23 feeling exhausted and wandering where to stay the night whilst hiking the South Downs Way. The guy running the place (not the landlord) was extremely welcoming and got a pint in my hand fast. Making sure I was comfortable and happy all the time. He helped me find a place nearby where I could put my tent and took time to talk to me about my adventure. It also turned out to be ten quid steak night. Great place. Great people.
Lovely location, nice pub but let down by seemingly inexperienced management and untrained staff - all seemed nice people but out of their depth. Food is good in places but you know they could do better. Dishes available and then not the next minute. Nice roast however shame the brownie desert was massively overcooked and burnt on the bottom
Really nice interiors and friendly professional staff. Great for a Sunday roast . Food was delicious! Loads of space for kids to play in the back garden. Perfect location for walks on the south downs way too. We had a great time. Thanks
Great pub to round off a walk over the downs. Ales properly kept and served by friendly staff. Definitely coming back for food next time π.
Great pub, I didn't have the food but looked good. Good selection of ales and lagers. Very friendly staff. Would recommend.
Stopped here for lunch and was reasonable, good value for money though. Beers were very good and staff friendly despite being busy and quite stretched. Recommend as a good pub with friendly atmosphere.
Very friendly local pub. Good welcome to us and our collie. Good varied menu, including vegan options. Nice cosy atmosphere inside and great garden. Thank you.
Off the the chance visit but really pleased. Delicious food, very friendly, lighting levels perfect, nice and cosy. Will definitely return.
It says Brighton but it's Plumpton.
We all had a great lunch. I had the gammon egg and chips, I had three huge slices of the leanest and tastiest gammon ever, it was delicious. Highly recommended.
Lovely Setting with gorgeous views from the top field. Beer a little on expensive side, food was decent. We were served by a lovely more mature lady who couldn't do enough for us. thank you
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. My girlfriend and I were here for lunch, and although the food was good and I was fully satisfied with my ciabatta with sausage with chips and a little salad to the side, the portion size of my girlfriend's vegan buffalo wings was a bit small for its price. That costed a star in this review, but other than that, this place is definitely recommended.
Great little gem of a pub. A little more up market than a regular travelers pub. Average main mean costs about Β£11. And they serve elderflower cider, which was gorgeous. Toilets were clean and staff were friendly. Will definitely go back if we stay at Blackberry Woods again.
Friendly pub with great new menu and outside area. The sea bass was delicious.

Beautiful venue, fantastic service, and excellent food. Lots of outside seating in the sunshine. A little on the expensive side, but worth it for the quality. Definitely want to go back!
