We had lunch at The Flowing Spring today (30 November 2017). Great vegan choices! We had home-made giant puff-ball mushroom soup (locally foraged) with crusty bread and a vegan burger (topped with vegan cheese) with chips and a very fresh salad. Very friendly landlord and nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and we will return soon.
Stayed here overnight in our motorhome so that we could meet up with my brother who lives nearby and have drinks & dinner.
The menu, although it has a few ordinary 'pub grub' staples is different to any menu I have seen recently and caters for all good preferences - and all sounded fab and mouth watering.
When our food arrived we certainly were not disappointed. All really tasty.
Good selection of fraught beers and an excellent enclosed beer garden.
All in all, what's not to like.
Will return
I've recently become vegan and eating out can be tricky so it was lovely to have a meal here today. Lots of meat for my family and a huge vegan choice including desserts for me! Lovely food and staff, a pleasurable meal and everyone wants to go again!
Lovely atmosphere and fantastic food, I am gluten intolerant and they have a great menu that caters for this which is very hard to find, would highly recommend!
The pub is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious! We had a meat and a vegetarian dish and both were very good. The owners are wonderful people too, what more could one ask for :)
Really good. I randomly turned up on a wet lunchtime to kill some time. Great burger, great pint of ale, great service, lovely atmosphere. An old style pub we see too few of these days.

Wow. A great find. Plenty of real ales. Lovely home cooked food. This ain't no chain pub. And a band on in the garden when we where there. Best pub we've been to in ages.
What a great pub.
We attended once again on a truly soaking wet Saturday evening for one of the popular live music events. The Led Zeppelin tribute band Coda were returning for a third time but had to cancel due to the guitarist taken ill and in hospital. Hope he recovers soon.
Nick, ever the stalwart, managed to find an excellent replacement within 24 hours. LETZ ZEP stepped in and performed brilliantly. The torrential rain didn't stop them or dampen the audience spirits. The on site shelters kept most of us dry and allowed us to watch the more adventurous to bop away to the music.
A huge thank you to Nick and Hazel for again putting in so much hard work to give a great evening for all.
Beer was good as well, but glasses of wine would have been better than a whole bottle.
Just a suggestion, the roses in front of the band area could do with a trim or a tie back! 😃
Thanks again to all.
My husband and I have grown a true fondness for this place. There truly is know where else like it. We came to some of the outdoor concerts last year and promised to return for them this year and needless to say we have and have not been disappointed. So far we have seen a Truly wonderful David Bowie Tribute act called Moonage and then another truly wonderful band called Xander and the peace pirates. Excellent musicanship to say the least. Once again our requirements for lovely food and drink were met. Many thanks to Nick, Hazel and their fabulous staff for another memorable evening. Hope to return for many more music evenings and will certainly be back for some more lovely food, drink, atmosphere and chat. Well done you too.
One of the best pubs around with great food. If you are gluten free then you’ll love the fit menu, so many great options.

It’s the second time we came as a family! The food is really nice! This second time we were served by a waitress that clearly needs more training.
And the toilets were not up to par considering what we were paying. Maybe a professional cleaner could be hired because it was really dirty and dusty.
Stunning food, particularly the scotch bonnet ice cream, it was all made in house by the landlord and landlady.
My partner was so blown away by the ice cream that I was encouraged to make our own (mine wasnt as good as theirs)
The atmosphere was very homely with friendly punters and hosts alike.
We have been joined onto the mailing list so we can stay up to date with the many tribute bands that they have there in the adjoining marquee.
Will definitely be back for more fun, food and entertainment.
We had a great evening, fab food, great folk club/accoustic night, lovely quirky and interesting old pub with lovely gardens and great free campervan(off grid style) overnight stay in their car park for pub users. Also lovely balcony area Great atmosphere and advertises live music..we will definitely go again. Thanks for great hospitality.
Great pub tucked right out of the way, supper place a real discovery. Take a visit and support this place. It's a destination. Google you need more stars for this place. Fantastic.
