We called into Hettie’s yesterday as we were mooching around Pitlochry, the window display definitely sold us, the choice on view is fantastic! We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who quickly seated us in a window seat. The choice on offer is vast, if you’re a tea drinker I imagine this is a slice of tea heaven! We settled on a cortado & cake, we definitely weren’t disappointed, both extremely tasty and very well made & presented. Recommend Hetties for a relaxed cuppa in lovely surroundings.
Absolutely amazing litttle find. It’s a big call, but this place is THE best tea room I have ever been to. The tea list is endless - it’s intelligently put together and presented. The cakes - oh the cakes! It’s hard to go past the mammoth Victoria Sponge but the Carrot Cake will leave you, well, wanting more. Thanks Hettie!!!
This is 1 of my most favourite places! I smile the whole time I'm here because of the atmosphere, surroundings, food and the cheery staff!
I cannot recommend this little place of heaven highly enough.
Very dog-friendly : they took us to a lovely table with a mat for doggies. A bowl of water was brought immediately (my tea and scone very shortly after) - and all despite the place being packed on a Sunday
Love this place! Staff are so welcoming and food is fantastic! Dogs welcome and our wee pup was spoiled yesterday! Highly recommend!
Visited Hettie's with 12 of our family on the 26th May for some lunch. What can i say,! And i can't stress this enough. Amazing.
Venison baguette, amazing
Ginger beer, amazing
Carrot cake, absolutely amazing
Rhubarb and elderflower cake, amazing....
And not forgetting how Hettie's got us all in at a drop of a hat. Treated us like one of the family, the staff were brilliant, attention to the customers needs was second to none. Can't wait to visit again ny mouth is still watering thinking about the carrot cake
Thankyou for a lovely day.
P.s
Dn't forget to ask what tea they have.
Beautiful food, great service and a lovely welcome for our wee jack we always recommend going here to our b&b guests! ( lemon drizzle cake out of this world!!)
Visited today for the first time huge menu choice. Today we just had cake and tea. Carrot cake mum had and loved I had a scone with jam and butter. The tea is delicious loose leaf tea. Will definitely make this a must go to stop next time we visit Perthshire. Staff are very friendly
The best afternoon tea. So much food we took a box away for later. Great food, lovely staff.
Had the most amazing afternoon tea, I had asked for carrot cake to be substituted with something else as we were coming for my boyfriend's birthday and he loves carrot cake. Instead of substituting, there was loads of carrot cake added to the selection! My boyfriend had never had afternoon tea before (clearly he's not lived! 😂) but he loved this. Service was amazing too, very attentive and so friendly. We'll be back next time we're in Pitlochry. Thank you so much for making a birthday tea so special guys.
PS came by the next day to take cakes home to my parents in Fife, I normally hate custard creams but yours are to die for!! Yummeeeeee!! 💞
Visited on Saturday. Lovely service, lovely food, delicious tea and they even served my dog with a bowl of water. Was a very nice retreat from a baking hot day.
Definitely the place to visit in Pitlochry. Varied menu with something for everyone.
Some unusual ice creams too.
First visit to Hetties tearoom it the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent even though it was very busy . Great choice of teas loved the china crockery and the scones were the biggest and the best I’ve ever had x
Had a lovely apple and cinnamon scone and THE best lapsang souchon tea earlier today . I was able to take my rescue dog in for his first visit . Won't be the last .
It's a great wee tearoom and staff are very nice and welcoming .
Been here beforehand of the Enchanted Forrest Event.Friendly Staff, rather quick service considering the fact that it was quite busy.
Had a coronation chicken panini,a fruit scone and a coke for £16,90. Not very cheap but definately worth it,and enough to feel full. Will visit again when i'm in Pitlochry.
Ordered the sandwiches, soup, cheesecake and scones. Sandwiches and soup were delicious, homemade oreo cheesecake was great as well. Didnt really enjoy the scones though. Service was good too!
The sponge cake slider was EVERYTHING!
I made a reservation, but we ended up arriving an hour earlier than expected. Luckily, it wasn’t a problem and we were seated immediately.
We debated ordering a few slices individually but eventually went with the slider, opting for everything but the red velvet. I found the lemon sponge and coffee cake to be the standouts by far. My husband liked the Victoria sponge and chocolate slices best. (To me, the Victoria sponge was excellent but the chocolate was average). We agreed that the carrot cake was good but not outstanding.
We also ordered a scone and enjoyed that as well. I would definitely return for the lemon and coffee cakes and highly recommend stopping by Hettie’s!
'Afternoon Tea' was the order of the day as a wee birthday treat... my oh my oh my, what a spread, it felt like a sweet and savoury food adventure, from sandwiches and quiche, to cakes, sweets, and tiffin...all washed down with a selection of delicious tea's from the tasting menu.
Service, staff, quality...all off the scale 😋🙏
Great place to visit and experience a very authentic tea room. The Victoria cake was awesome, hope I get a chance to visit this awesome place again before I leave Scotland. My latte, my wife’s tea and friends flat white coffee were mastered to perfection.
Went here during our stroll through Pitlochry.
Kids got very happy that they have butter beer from Harry Potter.
We tried the carrot cake, Tray bake rocky road and oroe cheesecake and they all tasted great.
The blueberry smoothie could been bit more mixed, now there were pieces of ice in a slightly chunky format but nothing major.
Can become crowded here and there might be some queuing if you want to dine in and not take away.
Worth the hour and a half drive every single time! Always busy, so I'd recommend booking. Staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Their cake slices are quite literally the biggest I've ever seen and every flavour is delicious! Love their range of hot chocolates - my favourite is the caramac personally. Best scone I've ever eaten, again, it's huge, light an fluffy on the inside. Also a good range of tarts, traybakes, and Cheesecakes to choose from. Milkshakes and plenty coffees on offer as well. Would highly recommend!
Never miss this place if you visit Pitlochry!! Oreo cheesecake is awesome and variety choice of tea. There will always be a queue about 15 to 30 min. Worth to try.
One of the best tea rooms in Scotland. It's a sweet little place which has almost everything homemade. They had a variety of stuff on the menu including scones, cakes, sandwiches, soups, tea and coffee. Service was spot on and extremely fast plus they do a quick walktrhough of the menu as well.
Sandwiches were awesome and scones extremely tasty. I became a fan of their tea and loved it so much that I ordered one more.
Wonderful place to stop for lunch or afternoon tea…friendly staff, great location, and great food (lots of options for those with food allergies). I always stop here when I visit Pitlochry.
