Beautiful decor, good service with well executed food and correct prices. Dishes are tasty and appetising even if staying with the parameters of local offerings. Wines aren’t overpriced with a reasonable conventional choice. A good list of gin and whisky that will make up for it. A 4.5 star really t
Food was absolutely delicious and the service was good but a little bit slow on coming over to ask us what we would like. We had an early dinner so the restaurant was nice and quiet.
Lovely evening meal. We had smoked haddock fish cakes to start followed by venison and salmon all meals were delicious. Staff were very welcoming and attentive too. Thank you!
Ate here on the weekend for the first time ...Absolutely gorgeous food, compliments to the chef/chefs! The service was spot on, and the place itself was lovely, warm, and cosy. We had 3 courses and each course was delicious. It is very reasonably priced, and there was plenty of choice on the menu. T
Cute little spot in Pitlochery! I ordered the broccoli & bleu cheese soup of the day and the tabbouleh salad (forgot a picture!). My husband got the chicken BBQ burger and a fish cake starter. Everything was good and the service was friendly!
We sat outside and had lunch here on a sunny day. There were seated areas in the shade as well as the sun depending on what you prefer, the views across into the memorial garden were lovely. Service was quick, the food was tasty with good helpings. I had the halloumi burger which was cooked perfectl
Excellent food, cute and comfortable environment. Gluten free options. I got the GF mushroom and spinach Parmesan/pesto linguine. It’s always hard to find a good GF pasta but this tasted like normal pasta with great texture. The dish was delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was also amazing! My husb
A lovely little place. We were positively surprised by the vast menu options and the choice of fresh local ingredients. The food was tasty and with that homely twist to it. The place was very busy so probably better book it in advance.
Fern Cottage was a delight. At attention to detail, from the restaurant lay out to the uniform of the staff. The food was excellent. Best to book, we visited on a Friday night and it filled up as the night went on. Value for money, a must visit if in Pitlochry.
Nice eatery off the main street. Pretty quiet outside as there is a park across the street. The Mediterranean platter was nice, varied, and tasty. The goat cheese bon bons are tasty but not very large (but it is a starter). The service was good and efficient. Not a lot of options for the vegan in yo
WOW, what an experience! It's totally one of the best meals we have ever eaten in a restaurant. Everything was such high quality, very nicely presented and very tasty. It started with the goat cheese Bon Bons and Tomato soup for starters and continued throughout the meal, just delightful. The manage
We are vegetarians holidaying in Scotland, it’s difficult to get good food. Fern cottage was a delightful experience as we were taking a lunch break on our way to Edinburg. We ordered an Arrabbiata pasta with potato leek soup, both were delicious. Happy we decided to come here!
We had a fantastic evening here. Very kind service, a very nice menu card and awesome delicious food. We'll be back.
I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at Fern Cottage Restaurant. I was struck particularly about how efficiently all staff worked so well as a team. My Boe Violet gin was exceptional and I loved the raspberry ice cube in it. What a great way to enjoy the added raspberry flavour without watering down th
I personally thought the food was wonderful, but my husband did not agree. For starters we had the goat cheese bon bons and the smoked salmon. Both were delicious - a good start. I ordered the venison, medium-rare, and it was very tasty and cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the duck, also med
An amazing restaurant in the middle of Pitlochry. We really appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options (there is a whole vegan section on the menu) and they were delicious. The place is full of character. You can check their prices on their website, mostly around £15-20 per main.
On our visit to Pitlochry we ate here 2 nights , food was very good , staff very friendly , lovely rustic decor , would highly recommend, but be sure to book in advance as its very popular, will definitely be returning here again on my next visit to Pitlochry !
It's a long time since I have had a meal quite so tasty. We are booked again for Saturday evening & we are very much looking forward to it. It was scrumptious !
Excellent food. We got the last booking so make sure you book in advance you don't want to miss out. Plus an added bonus of Birds and bee's bottle ale my favourite. Would definitely go back when I go to Pitlochery.
