This is a very big awesome pub! The staff were really good, attentive, respectful and always had a smile on their faces. Starters are very “deep fried” which is a bit of a shame. The mains were excellent however and everything was well presented and seriously yummy!
Four stars only because the starters had no alternatives to deep fried.
An awesome gastro pub! We were picked up from Heathrow by family and headed here for lunch - and wow, sensational food and service from Emilia.
I had the chicken and ham pie with carrots and fries - fantastic! My husband had the fish and chips which he loved. And others enjoyed the luxury fish pie and a Reuben sandwich. All of the food looked and tasted fantastic!
10/10 this was an amazing experience. The food, the service and atmosphere were all 10/10. I literally can’t fault the place.

Visited on a weekday for lunch so managed to get a table overlooking the greens. The quality of food was excellent and great atmosphere. I imagine this place would be heaving on a weekend. Good selection of wines too.
Went here for a Sunday lunch with family. Had the table booked for 2pm, so not particularly later in the day but unfortunately they were already sold out of 3 types of roast! They were very accommodating though and we had roast beef - it was brilliant. The meat was perfectly cooked, huge Yorkshire puddings and great veggie sides. This is the third time I’ve been here and it has never disappointed.
The decor and ambience is great. They even had live music, which was a pleasant surprise.
Would highly recommend!
What a delightful experience dining at The Cricketers on the Green. Meeting up with old school friends we enjoyed lunch whilst sharing memories of over 50 years ago when the same premises was just a dingy public house. How it has altered and become a smart and lively restaurant.
The staff and management were friendly, polite and efficient with a good sense of humour. The food and presentation were excellent along with a great atmosphere to dine in.
I would certainly recommend this venue and will enjoy returning in the future.
We visited on 17th October. The service was excellent as was the food. We rarely go anywhere else locally now to eat, as we know the food is so good. The lunch menu is great value too. Thank you making it a lovely lunchtime plus the Happy Birthday message on the pudding!
We had dinner in the cabinet room for a special occasion. The table was laid beautifully and the room gave the evening an extra special feeling. 8 of us sat comfortably around the table with plenty of room. The food was amazing and the staff really went out of their way to make the meal special.

An absolute gem of a pub have driven by many many times and thought what a quaint welcoming pub it looked. Finally got to experience it and all of the above were above and beyond . The decor and setting are beautiful and well designed for the best of its location and customer comfort. Staff are welcoming, polite, courteous and friendly and service is 5 star 🌟 As for the food best burger I've had for a long time the flavours with special home sauce were amazing. Presentation was impeccable. I've found my new go to treat out. Can't wait to try the rest of a fabulous menu. Well done to all at the cricketers on the green 👏

I wasn't in a hurry to come back here, but following good reviews from friends and relatives, I decided to give it another go. So pleased I did. Just one minor gripe...but nothing important!
Was this a lucky visit or has it greatly improved? Hopefully the latter🤞.

Such a beautiful venue. During lockdown we frequented the famous Yurt, so nice to be able to dine-in in the fabulously renovated restaurant. Seasonal menu, lovely staff, Fantastic deserts. Can't wait to come again!
