A family lunch for 6 adults and 4 children. Generous portions of lovey presented food. The kids options were very well received. Adults all very satisfied with their meals and thought it great value for money. The lamb shank was succulent & tasty, the beef pie excellent, as was the haddock in chilli&lime sauce and the chicken options. The chips, mash, new potatoes, cabbage, swede & cauliflower were all really well cooked and presented. Would definitely recommend this to any family, couples or single diners. Everyone was made very welcome and very well looked after. Really friendly and professional service. As it was decked out in Halloween decorations the kids particularly loved looking around at all the spooks, spiders and witches.

Me and my partner, stayed up the road from this lovely pub. Had our dog with us which was more than welcome. Amazing food, very generous portions. We went twice just for the steak pie as it is by far the best we’ve had. Even the desert took us by shock for the portion sizes! Definitely recommend, can’t go wrong.

Fantastic pub, great food and very polite and courteous staff. We've been eating here for the last few days. The food portions are huge and of superb quality. Thank you to the Coach House Inn!!💯🧑‍🍳

A lovely place, excellent food and service but very much spoilt for me by being overrun with dogs both inside and out. Almost every table had a dog, some barking occasionally. If I wanted to eat surrounded by noisy unhygienic animals, I would head for the nearest kennels. How it has come to be thought appropriate to have dogs in eating establishments in this country I'm not sure but it didn't use to be this way. Not everyone loves dogs. A place can never be hygienic and entertain dogs. I had an upset stomach after this which may or may not be related.

We had a really lovely meal. I had the steak pie with chips and veg, and it was amazing. There was a generous amount of meat and the pastry was perfect. My husband loved the pork ribs and my son was very happy with his pizza, chips and veg.

Absolutely great find for warm welcome and excellent home cooked food. Beer was great too and a brilliant selection also. Darts and pool for those who like a game .

Yet another visit here for dinner. The cheese burger was almost perfect (if the bap had been toasted...) with super fresh salad garnish and the best chips - just like proper fish and chip shop chips and not greasy. The Coach House Inn also has both salad cream and mayonnaise! Very few places have both and if you like salad cream, mayonnaise just doesn't cut it! The Theakston's Best is well kept. Everywhere is clean and tidy. Dogs can be taken into the bar, but not the restaurant. If the weather is set fair, book a table as this place is popular. The staff and people behind the bar appreciate good manners and do an excellent job. Service is friendly and prompt. This place is a real gem and worth a visit, but prepare for it to be busy.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch here. Every single element was delicious and the portions were huge, even the desserts were massive. A dog friendly pub in a gorgeous area popular with walkers if you need to have somewhere for nourishment after your walk this is the place to go to.

Having stayed in Rosedale Abbey we called at the Coach House Inn for a meal. We had shank of lamb and the Texan bbq ribs followed by apple and date crumble with custard and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. What can I say apart from deliciousness on a plate. Portions were good the food superb the staff were great. A wonderful night in a warm and friendly pub. I personally wish to thank the member of staff who found and kept my handbag safe on a previous visit I am so grateful to you, the feeling of it being lost with all my important things in it made me feel dreadful so thank you once again.

Had an excellent meal here... I had the Desperate Dan pie while my wife had the Scampi..... Both dishes were delicious and Huge, with chips to die for... The service was good and the atmosphere was perfect.... One other positive were the toilets, which looked brand new, and were the nicest pub toilets I've ever seen..... Overall an excellent experience, highly recommended! ❤️

Stopped yesterday for a drink and snack whilst walking, both had a sandwich that come with proper fresh home made chips and salad. Will be calling back to have a go at the steak pie.

We only stopped her for a drink. Old fashioned traditional pub with a good selection of draught and hand-pulled beers (in the Camra good beer guide, I believe). Can't comment on the food, but there were several other guests eating pub fare when we were there. Probably best to check out thir website for details.

Very good food and service. Roadside terrace which is a shame considering the wonderful scenery around.
