Lovely people, super-tasty, and an absolute bargain at £6.50 for hake & chips cooked fresh to order!
I hadn’t planned to eat here, but having hiked 19miles of the 1066 Country Walk from Battle, when I saw the offer in the window I couldn’t turn it down!

Loved it here , the people serving are always kind and accommodating. The family that own the place is lovely too. Food great as not to greasy and not too dry (I had fish and chips ) and my daughter had sausage and chips and enjoyed them too .

Popped in on our way back from the beach and was met with two lovely staff who were very friendly and accommodating. We had a good chat before they served 2 take away large fish and chips. The fish was crispy and crunchy on the outside - soft and tender on the inside. Was as good as I have ever had.
Absolutely delicious!!! We’re staying on the campsite down the road so a short walk. The cod was cooked to perfection with crispy batter, the chips were yummy (not that cardboard flavour you can sometimes get). We have devoured our meal! Very happy tummy’s!!
Lovely fish and chips shop. A wide variety of food which is great for people with strong preferences, even gluten free batter availability. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back again. Amazing customer service and very sweet staff members.

Fish was perfectly cooked and ready exactly when they said the order would be. We have gluten free requirements for the fish and everything was exactly as ordered!! Thank you very much 👍👍
Lovely place with amazing staff and great food. Had forgotten to order chips, staff kindly gave me a portion free, and gave an extra cod as they weren’t happy with the size of them. Incredible service, will definitely be coming back
The Swan Fish is so friendly and welcoming and i am proud this is my local!! Fish and chips amazing and great portion sizes. Plenty of choice on other fish, burgers etc and offers available.
