To be honest I had stopped going there and so had most of my friends. I went there for lunch yesterday and was very very impressed indeed. Friendly service - didn't have to wait very long at all. A warm, crisp baguette stuffed with delicious filling with a few VERY nice chips and a garnish of green salad. Mouthwatering. Another friend decided to have fish and chips and said it was the best he had eaten for years. The toilets are spotless - the revamped hall is just gorgeous. There is now plenty of parking and a nice outdoor area out the back. Couldn't fault it.

Had a great meal here. Booked the Christmas Menu for Sunday 24th December and was NOT disappointed. Fabulous menu cooked to perfection. This was our Christmas day dinner a day early so had to be special and it was. Fab starter and pudding and the main course of turkey with all the trimmings was just that couldn't ask for anything better. Staff were smiling and attentive without being in your face and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you for making our Christmas. x

We booked late on Saturday afternoon (9 June 2016) but were found a table in the 'new' restaurant. Enjoyed a great pint of Harveys bitter outside on the new large patio followed by excellent moules starter and steak & chips main course. Will definitely re-visit in the near future.

We phoned here in hope that they had room to squeeze 4 of us in for Sunday lunch....and we were in luck. The staff were very welcoming and the service was fab even if it was a little slow. We had a bottle of prosecco and a beer, I'm not sure what the cost was as it was bought for us. We sat down, had a look at the menu and everything sounded delicious but we'd come specifically for a Sunday Roast so that's what we had. We'd seen some of the food coming out and the roasts looked massive so we skipped starters and went staight in for the main. 2 of us has the slow Roasted Belly Pork and the other 2 had the Roast Beef. When the food came out I think my mouth was actually watering. It looked and smelt amazing. The pictures don't really show it but the portion size was big. Everything was cooked perfectly. The staff really couldn't do enough for us and even sent someone off to the shops to get some apple sauce when they had run out. The food was delicious. The roasties could've done with a bit more crisping up but were still yummy. And the yorkies and crackling were amazing! So so nice. Would defo recommend. We didn't have room for a pudding but the menu looked good. The pub is quite big and was very clean. The toilets were nice too. The Roasts cost around £16 each.

We had a family get together on the 16th July, for 16 people. We were asked to pre-order which was understandable, being such a large group. The food was perfectly cooked and each order came out without a hitch. The Roasts were especially good! The staff are friendly and very accommodating, and the prices offer good value for money. The beer garden is a lovely place to relax after stuffing your face, with the play area offering the kids chance to burn off some energy. Very lucky to have this as my local. Great pub 👍

Always kind staff and the chef is always accommodating if you have kids who are a bit picky with their food! My child loves the play area as well! Mind your clothes they will get dirty!

Amazing venue with great food and friendly service. We stopped in for an early dinner on our way home and delighted to find that kids eat free before 6pm. The food was great and well presented, both for the adults and the children's meals. We opted to sit in the bar area and this was a nice relaxed area. The seating in the restaurant itself looked good and the outside seating perfect for good weather. Parking is out the front and more around the back.

Called in for something to eat quickly during work. Didn't eat in the end as we got pushed for time but was a nice pit stop all the same. Outdoor seating and friendly atmosphere

Attended a funeral wake in the function room. Lovely function room and garden. Light bites were laid on and were good. Good selection of beers to choose from. Will be back in the summer to sit out in the Garden. Adequate parking as well. 👍

Attended a party in this pub. Food was provided by the venue. It wasn't great. Small party sized burgers in buns....dry and tasteless. Would use the pub again but wouldn't use their catering. Venue fine and staff attentive.

Went to attend a Birthday party. Had the Roast Pork dinner. Huge meal and fabulous taste to the whole plate. Roast potatoes to die for and huge slice about 1 inch think with Crackling. They have entertainment most Sundays starting at 6pm. The staff were very busy but were very friendly and helpful. We will be going back.
