The Castle Inn - Pevensey Bay - Photo album

A lovely pub located close to the beach. Ample parking and dog friendly which was a huge plus. We had travelled down for the weekend and visited the pub for a spot of lunch. The staff are lovely and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The food was plentiful and freshly cooked. As well as
Just had a fab evening at the Castle with my wife and another couple. We were campervanning at nearby Normans Bay. Great chicken burger and chips for me, and my wife had a chicken kebab with rice and salad. Both delicious and as much as we could eat - no room for dessert. Great atmosphere, with the
Just had a lovely lunch here. Went for the steak, ale and mushroom pie with mash and fresh vegetables. Very tasty pie, veggies were cooked just right and the mash was nice and creamy. Gravy was nice and thick too. Had a pint of Pravha to go with the food, which was ice cold and fizzy so all good th
One of the very best restaurant fish 🐠 and chips 🍟 I've ever had... superb batter and super flaky fresh fish with nicely cooked chips too.. couldn't fault it. (everyone says the same thing about best I've eaten etc etc but this dish was just fab) ...the mint chocolate brownie is awesome, NOT to be m
Wonderfully friendly pub, with great landlords and a super, hard working team. Some great beers and lagers and all at excellent prices. My one tiny observation is that there is no dedicated disabled parking (or none I noticed), this makes for some rather tight entry and exit on parking. However,
Great pub food in a very nice ‘country pub’ location. Close to the local beach area, but not ‘on’ it. I went for the burger & chips with a pint of LongMan Blonde to chase it down. Really nicely cooked - and just what was needed. There’s a large beer garden area at the rear, which made for a very ple
What can I say. We booked a table for 630 pm it was ready before we got there. When we walked in we were greeted with friendly staff. The landlady was absolutely brilliant. She made sure we were served well and got exactly what we wanted. Me being me I had downed my 1st pint before the rest of the
First visit to the Castle Inn. As the weather was nice we sat in the garden to the rear. Nicely laid out with plenty of seating and tables. The staff were pleasant and engaging. Just stopped for a drink so can't comment about the food.
Food here excellent, a lot of things homemade (steak ale and mushroom pie the best ever!) portion sizes are good. and nice to have piping hot food. Reasonably priced, both food and bar. Great atmosphere and really friendly helpful staff. Seems to have lots of regulars, who are not clicky and make
Outside seating a bit rickety. A bit barren....could be much more attractive!! However, it was good for a quick meal and drink....wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. Its a good location and has great potential which could be developed into making it a really nice pub!!
