Stayed for one night to celebrate our 10year anniversary! Everything was amazing, when we arrived we sat and had a drink next to the log burner and all the staff were so friendly. When we checked in we got a complimentary upgrade to a classic room which was lovely, a great big bath (that I unfortuna
We met friends for lunch which was delicious. And the view is exceptional! What a great place. Good menu, great food, lovely surroundings. My husband wanted alcohol free beer and it was the best one he's had so far! Well done Welldiggers!
Great service. Not rushed. Good location of table. Excellent steaks. Could have had MORE vegetables for healthy living menu. Just a small hand ful of watercress not enough to offset chips!! Could have been a bit warmer - one of my guests felt cold half way through. Also by the windows would have bee
Stayed overnight at this lovely pub - room was very comfortable and clean. Room was well equipped with tea/coffee/bottled water and plenty of toiletries in the en-suite. We had 3 meals at the pub all of which were first-class and served by friendly staff. We would not hesitate to book at Welldigg
Lovely trout and watercress fish cakes and tasty apple crumble. Plentiful carafes of filtered water. Attentive but not intrusive service. They were not phased by me bringing a bottle, reasonable corkage charge too.
Five of us had lunch, the food was excellent, great inexpensive wine and fabulous views across to the South Downs. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was impressive. Definitely going to recommend to friends and return again.
Very comfortable rooms and excellent amenities. Dinner was very good an excellent choice whilst not to many. Quick and efficient service all with smiles on their faces. Amazing location, breath taking views, amazing food and drink and excellent service. Our room was very well appointed with thoughtful touches like great coffee and full size shower gel and shampoo. The only down side was that the carpets needed refreshing. Hope we get back to visit again soon!
We came the other week for a couple of drinks and after seeing the menu we instantly booked in for food…. Came here for Sunday lunch last week and it was absolutely beautiful! The service was great, the food was outstanding and we sat outside in the sun surrounded by beautiful views. Would not recom
This is our third visit to the Welldiggers with our dog and we will be back again for sure. Every room is lovely and the view for breakfast is so calming. Parking is great and the little path by the car park give Scrappy a chance to stretch his legs in the morning. Thanks guys - always such a g
This was a lovely getting away from it all space. Nice and quiet with great views. I selected a room with a view and I could lie in bed watching the rolling South Downs and the changing sky. The service was very pleasant and I would definitely visit again. The restaurant menu was not extensive and q
Steak sandwiches were great! Probably the best one I’ve ever had. The downside was the price of a pint of lime and soda - £4.40 (£4.84 inc the service charge that is pre-added to the bill), which is totally unnecessary when some places charge as little as £1.20!! Diet Coke was the same. Views from t
Great little inn with really good food, service and atmosphere. The restaurant has good views of the South Downs and a nice covered outdoor seating area. The rooms are well appointed with modern decor and appliances but no air conditioning. It is also on a busy A road which makes opening windows to
My partner and I don’t get much time to ourselves , so our time out is very precious, The Well diggers did NOT disappoint, we arrived early , we’re met by friendly and attentive staff . We opted to have our pre dinner drink at our table , and wow what a view , services was professional and un hurri
We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The views are incredible and although on a busy road, our rooms were at the back so we didn’t hear any noise. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful especially Dan. The only downside was a member of staff working in the kitchen called Chris was rude t
