We popped in on our way back from Bognor... the in laws recommend this was a good place to stop off to have a bite to eat. Especially the fish and Chips ... we managed to get a table we wanted the fish and chips but this was sold out....understandably so. I had the fish pie and my wife had steak pie... great portions personally I would have liked the cream sauce to be better seasoned in the fish pie but my preference only. Nice and hot good device with a smile and recommend to all that pass through👍

Fabulous place to stay. Traditional country pub with amazing food, friendly staff. The room was a good size with lots of little extra’s, and breakfast was freshly cooked and all local produce! Stayed for 2 nights as we were going to a wedding, so glad we found it, would definitely stay again!

Lovely pub, well maintained gardens, cosy interior. The beer is top notch & the food is excellent value for down south. The landlady & staff are very accommodating food-wise & can amend the dishes to suit their customers. One of our favourite stops for lunch & a drink.

We had cheesy chips and cheesy garlic bread. Tasty and simple. They could do with having some starters on the menu- we were looking for a snack/light meal but couldn't get anything else. Beautiful setting and lovely and attentive bar staff.

Lovely quiet location. Really friendly owner who is always on call if you have any issues… Not that I had any at all. Breakfast between 7-9am and was really good. Nice little treat in your room with biscuits, cereal, fresh milk and bottles of water along with your standard tea and coffee facilities… for which you also had Earl Grey, Green tea and various fruit flavoured teas. The only thing if I had to try to find a negative is the height of the shower. Would be quite awkward if you were 6ft plus and the ceiling slants. But there are two rooms available in the section I stayed and I’m sure the top floor would have more room. It might be worth asking beforehand. But all in all it was a really pleasant friendly stay and I will most definitely be staying here again when I’m in the area. Thankyou 😊

Beautiful place to stay, modern and cosy decoration in room, yummy English breakfast with amazing views to the garden. Would definitely go back even if it's just to have lunch in that peaceful calming place.

We popped in for a drink and a quick lunch. The menu was varied and enticing. We chose a ploughman's (ham and cheese) and a stilton and mushroom tiasted bagette. Both were delicious!! I had a pint of Flowers bitter, which was excellent.

Great pub and accommodation - my partner and I stayed overnight and enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The accommodation was lovely, with fresh fruit, tea, coffee and cereal in the room. The breakfast the next morning was delicious with a good vegan option. The pub had a great energy in the evening and all the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is great, with lovely walks nearby. I highly recommend this!
