The Star - Petworth - Photo album

Superb. Nice choice of beers, good food, and terrific service. We called for a late lunch just before the kitchen shut expecting to be turned away but a very friendly landlady was only too pleased to seat and serve us. The burgers were thick and delicious, the fish and chips huge and the gammon thic
Called 5 mins before arriving & booked a table for two late Sunday afternoon as passing through Petworth, a really lovely old pub which is a bit of a tardis given the outside dimensions. Lovely smiley helpful young waitress & equally nice manager/landlady & faultless food. Really pleased with trip
Such an amazing place. Looks a bit pricey when you look at the menu, but worth every penny. The portions are so big though that is worth sharing and enjoying a few more drinks. Whoever reads this. Enjoy a great time in that beautiful place.
We have stopped there for drinks twice and once for Sunday roast. On all three occasions the staff where friendly. The Sunday roast was superb and the service manufic. We prebooked our roast and table to ensure we had a seat and food. Dogs are welcome in the outside seating area and bar. Lovely p
After spending the morning exploring Petworth House and Gardens, my friend and I ventured into Petworth Town and stumbled across this beauty of a pub! Immediately, we were greeted by friendly staff and directed to our table. Service from the staff was always with a smile and the food was very de
I really enjoy going to the Star. It’s a great building with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are mostly friendly. I was there on Sunday and the mussels were so disappointing and overpriced, I won’t order them again. Apparently the fish and chips were great.
Good pub, friendly staff and good beer
Lovely place when you just want to chill. Especially after a long day. Staff are wonderful and the place is just great.
Deceiving from outside but absolutely quaint and cozy. Staff extremely friendly and helpful and food we had was very tasty. Highly recommended
Good pub, centrally located, the inside is better than the outside, so do venture in! friendly, helpful, good food, and a good atmosphere. Bar food, and full menu too. Highly recommended
We only had bar food, which was good. Service was excellent. Just a bit disappointed we didn't see the ghost 😁
Lovely food, lovely staff and a good price. Highly recommended
Stopped off for refreshments on journey home.cosy little pub with Lovely food
Popped into The Star yesterday for a quick lunch. We ordered sandwiches with a bowl of chips. The food was excellent, the sandwiches were generously cut with lots of filling, so much so that my wife and daughter had to eat theirs with a knife and fork. The service was great and the pud welcoming. Hi
Wonderful, quaint yet contemporary pub, charming service, very well kept beer, delicious wine. Interesting and tasty menu, the smoked mackerel pate is absolutely scrumptious! We had a really lovely lunch and time there, we'll go back. Highly recommended!
Fabulous pies and the best pint of Guinness outside of Dublin!! A great atmosphere with attentive staff, well worth the visit.
