This is an absolutely superb pub! There is a very varied menu and excellent quality of locally sourced food. Very welcoming and homely atmosphere, always with a log fire in the colder months. We need to protect and support these wonderful pubs, this one is a real gem! Thoroughly recommend visiting.
Pub was quite busy when we arrived at 7.00, bar staff looked like they didn't know who to serve first. Got our table and menus, again staff forgot us, although in line of sight. Both us and the next table had to go to the bar to say we ready to order, as it had been a while.

This pub is a nice place with a decent number of real ales and some lovely food. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Sunday roast to really shout about...
1st visit to the Royal Oak Pub today at Pett. We always try somewhere different for a Roast Lunch if we are down near Hastings on a Sunday. We booked a table with ease this morning! Then when we arrived at 1.30pm the carpark was almost empty 😳 2 concerning point
Only popped in for a drink on our walk great selection of ales on offer clear and tasty the food (roast dinners looked fabulous will definitely give them a try next time were down this way.
We went to the pub just for drinks but ended up staying for dinner it was amazing great company great atmosphere well worth a visit thank you to all the staff thanks fir a great experience 14th October 2023
Went today, again, with family. Lovely food, so much of it too. A really nice little pub, helpful staff and good value for money. Will return soon.

Had a delicious meal of minted Romney Marsh lamb and vegetables followed by scrummy sorbets. Main course portions were plentiful (as in quite large), served cleanly and quickly. A lovely evening.
Lovely country pub with good food and smiling service. Quite pricey for what it is.
