Such a great place to stay. Happy friendly staff. All working hard and with a smile. Food is some of the best I've had for a long time. The bed in the Elm room is like sleeping in a marshmallow. We will definitely return. The room was absolutely spotless and tastefully decorated. Facilities were great with fresh milk in the fridge rather than the horrible sachets you find in other places. Thanks for a great couple of days.

This was my first time here and certainly will not be my last. The landlord and his staff are all lovely and nothing is too much for them. The food is outstanding,im drooling thinking about my belly pork that I had.The pub itself is adorable,a proper English country pub with a rip roaring fire to warm ya cockles.I have no hesitation in recommending this pub to everyone.

This was not our first visit. We were not disappointed, great food and entertainment. The room was lovely. Think we have stayed in them all now and each are comfortable, spacious and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is the best, thanks to all the staff making us feel welcome.

Fantastic homemade and freshly cooked food, with very friendly service. This place should be the definition of a well-run, lovely country pub. Dog friendly in the bar area, where food can also be served, or if you prefer dog free the restaurant is available too. Thank you :)

I recently visited The Two Sawyers, a charming local pub! The atmosphere was quaint and cozy, perfect for a relaxed lunch and dinner. What truly stood out was the excellent service - the staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating. The menu offered a delightful range of options, and everything we ordered was delicious. Even our picky toddler couldn't resist the kid-friendly choices. So, if you're looking for a spot that combines great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service, this quaint pub is a must-visit.

Quite simply one of the best steaks I've ever had. My wife's seabass was done perfectly too. Two decent real ales on offer at my visit. Saturday booking for food is advised.

An all round Great country pub. Fantastic well priced, incredibly tasty food, good choice of drinks, great friendly service, and just a short walk from our campsite in fairlight woods. The pub is dog friendly and has a large outdoor garden area. Can't wait to return 👍

Nice country attractive pub in Pett village - good selection of real beers. Cosy bar area and restaurant quaint and comfortable. We booked online as it can get very busy - we went on two occasions and at 715 pm then you can avoid the crowds a little (and fewer kids). Limited standard menu and they have good daily specials which I had - all food was well prepared and tasty. Picture is of the smoked salmon starter. Wine by the glass and bottle available as well as beer of course.

(Review of pub only) Highly authentic 16th century country pub recommended to us (and for good reason) by our AirBNB owner. We sat outside on a warm evening in the spacious garden (pity about the family who let their kids run around scaring the dogs). Food was superb - tasty, presented well, and delivered promptly. Must stop if you're in the area.

We had a lovely meal here, a Sunday roast and pan fried seabass my wife enjoyed the rack of pork roast it was succulent and tasty with roasted potatoes and carrots Yorkshire pudding tender stem broccoli peas cabbage and thick meaty gravy. The seabass was cooked perfectly crispy skin moist fish lemon and parsley new potatoes tender stem broccoli pickled fennel which was delicious and lemon butter sauce 😋. Two lovely meals Two good pints of beer under £22.50 each.

A Countryside Gem in Pett Nestled in the serene village of Pett, surrounded by lush green fields and woodlands, and just a short drive from the beach, this pub/BNB offers an unparalleled escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The location itself is picturesque, but it's the amenities and service that truly stand out. Parking is never a concern with their spacious lot, a boon for anyone who's faced the woes of limited parking in popular destinations. The expansive outside area, with its meticulously maintained grounds, provides ample seating options for guests looking to drink in the fresh air and idyllic views. The building, a historic structure from the 1600s, exudes charm and character, giving guests a delightful sense of stepping back in time. Inside, the bar area buzzes with locals, eager to share stories and insights about the area, making it a hub of local culture and camaraderie. The in-house restaurant is another feather in the cap for this establishment. On my visit, I indulged in a fish dish from the specials menu. Perfectly cooked to have a crispy skin, yet maintaining a tender and fluffy interior, it was a testament to the chef's skills. The following day's full English breakfast, complete with locally sourced sausages from a nearby butcher, was generous in portion and rich in flavor. But the pièce de résistance of our culinary experience was the roast dinner. As we awaited our order, the air was filled with rave reviews from fellow diners, amplifying our anticipation. We weren't disappointed. Even at the last sitting, the freshness of the food was evident, with vegetables cooked to perfection and meat that melted in the mouth. The portions were generous, and the taste? Simply the best roast I've had in ages. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Pett and are looking for a place that combines history, hospitality, and haute cuisine, look no further. This pub/BNB is truly a countryside gem. Pleasant country pub with nice selection of meals. Staff happy to oblige. My wife wanted the crab cake starter as a main which they were happy to do, The crab cake was twice the size of the starter one. My duck salad was just right.

A brilliant place to unwind with a drink! Sadly we hadn't booked a table for food, and over the bank holiday, found out on arrival they were fully booked, so I strongly advise calling ahead to book a table, as the food is utterly delicious!

Great place to pop into after a walk in Guestling Woods, or, as I sometimes do, a walk from St Leonards. They have stopped selling Neck Oil, my favourite ☹️, but now sell Stella Artois Unfiltered, which is lovely and refreshing. It is surprisingly large inside and has a huge outside seating area for the warmer months. I shall eat there one day and review the food.

Visited for the first time as a large party. We all ordered different meals and all were absolutely perfect! Only downside is the lack of condiments. The food was of a very high standard and was served quickly. Unfriendly waitress service which was a shame as the venue was beautiful and amazing food. Will be visiting again although would be nice to feel a little more welcome.
