Standard cod was a 4/5 and chips were a 4/5. Food wise from me that's a high rating. Service and prices were good. Good sides and sauces. Bonus: hard to find halal fish and chips. 5 stars overall.
Freshly made lovely crispy fish and awesome chips. Love the curry sauce too. Really great customer service. Been here lots of times and never had a bad meal.
I said I'd leave a review, and here it is. The shop is clean and inviting, parking not too problematic on street despite it being a busy area and my visit at a busy time. Staff welcoming friendly and professional, felt like a valued customer. Price excellent, portion size generous. Chips very pleasant and batter was really nice on the fish. Cod good rather than excellent. Not a frequent visitor to P town, but this will now be my go-to when we do visit family. A good local business run by good people, certainly at this stage beats the competition locally and will continue to grow I hope.
Oxfords fish and chips you have absolutely smashed it! I purchased the regular fish and chips and the size of the portion was just like a large. The quality of the food was amazing, the fish was crispy on the outside and deliciously soft on the inside. Beautifully made and presented. The decor of the shop is wow! And the shop is so clean. The food was brilliant and did not disappoint me at all. The fish was tasty and fresh and really worth the price. The service was great and the staff were really lovely and kind. The environment was perfect and great for your family and friends to pop down for a mouth watering chippy. I would highly recommend this place for everyone and definitely try it out as you will be left satisfied 100%.
Excellent food and service - order in advance then pick it up fresh.
Just ask for chips to be soft not to be crunchy though as sometimes they can be - and ask for middle piece of cod. Halal and yummy. Try the sausages too battered.
By far the best fish and chips I’ve had in a very very long time. Staff are very lovely and very friendly. Never been to a chippy like it! would 100% recommend Oxford Fish & Chips, best in the game and certainly the best in Peterborough! 100% going to be my go to on a Friday!
The best Fish & Chips I’ve had in a long time, but more importantly, on my second visit (and every visit since), the taste has been the exact same. Remarkable consistency which I think is a sign of a great chippy. Can’t recommend enough, reasonable pricing as well!
There is fish and chips and then there is Oxford's fish and chips! They are in a league of their own. The chips always taste lovely and fresh and all cut to one size and cooked just right. The fish too is cooked to perfection, the batter is well mixed too. The place is really clean which is great to see.
Great fish and chips at a great price. Atmosphere of the shop is pleasant, the staff are warm and welcoming providing you a great service. The food is on point, you’re missing out if you haven’t ate from here.

Been waiting for so long for a local Fish And Chips shop close by. Oxford's is definitely the best. Nice owner, good personality. Always satisfied with the food. You need to try it out, very good.
