Peterborough’s very own hidden gem, a variety of options unavailable elsewhere from hard shell crab, shark, hare, venison and much more. Rich in flavour and spices. I will be coming back here as a regular customer. Went as a group of 5 with starters mains sides drinks totalled to around £45 each very affordable and generous with the portions along with brilliant service

An excellent dining experience, the waiters were very nice and explained the food to us, the decor was beautiful and the food was as nice as it was presented. There was a bit of a wait (less than 10 minutes) but it was well worth it, as I definitely recommend coming here for a lovely Indian (goan) cuisine. 💯

Fantastic Goan restaurant! The restaurant design was charming, and it had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. They were accommodating any requests we had. As for the food, everything was delicious. For starters, we tried the chicken lollipops, lamb chops, and king prawns. These were an excellent mix. Whilst the portion sizes were tiny for the price paid, it was redeemed by the quality, and I'd highly recommend them. For mains, we ordered some Naans, Octopus chillie fry (hot but delicious), k. Prawn biriyani and some other Goan dishes, all of them were cooked to perfection. We were so happy we ordered a collection for lunch the next day. Overall, it is a great Goan restaurant (which is hard to come by) with great food and lovely staff. I'm looking forward to coming back again.

As an Indian and having studied in Goa plus as a hotelier I know my food.. entering to the restaurant I was not sure if it was the right choice as the place was busy, the staff were preparing a table of 10-12, for people who were waiting and although they saw us, continued the set up (strange).. I was like let’s go out but something inside me told me wait and finally after 5 minutes (when waiting it makes you feel 15mins) we were finally approached and taken to a table which was free.. But now my entire assumption was changed, the server was immediately to our table, the order taking was prompt (slightly unsure if they had the drink - Amrit whiskey) I was asking for. The drinks were quick to arrive and the food was Jet speed. The appetizers were delicious and the portion size was decent.. Our mains were also delivered promptly and this convinced me that the step by step service sequences followed must be really good. The server Ronaldinho (No guesses about his origin) and Beatrice were both professional and helpful. I also spoke to the restaurant manager while he was checking on us and shared my positives Only part I felt strange as I had asked to see the chef but although he was present, he kept himself away from our table while busy ensuring the other were checked on and surprisingly clearing tables (Especially his chutney sets), I guess they were short of it as we had never received it with our kebabs. Strangely he was right present while we were paying the bill but again refrained from interacting. Not sure if it was my heritage that kept him away. Just FYI, the restaurant gets quite loud as it’s more like a dining hall set up and the voice really echoes.

Love this place. Made to feel very welcome as soon as you walk in. Food is outstanding. Well I think it is anyway. Me and the misses often pop in for a meal. Would recommend a visit. Not a massive menu but I like that. Because what they cook they cook very well

I am writing a review after long time as had been extremely busy , I did travel a lot and many reviews are pending to be posted here. But after visiting 1498 , I couldn’t help but decided to share my pleasant dining experience with you all. I loved the entrance to the restaurant. the restaurant has a very tasteful decor, classy. just the right lighting. staff very courteous. The paneer starter was to die for. I learnt that the owner is the also a very experienced chef and that is such a plus for a restaurant for you know that food quality will never be compromised. I highly recommend this lovely restaurant if you are in Petersborough or maybe make a trip there just to eat the food.

This place is hidden away and I’d never have found out about it but for my dad mentioning it. The best chicken tikka masala I’ve ever eaten in my life. Great service. Modern and nice decor. But it’s the food that makes you want to come back. Totally delicious and top top quality.

Overall a great dining experience. The couple of drawbacks that made this a four star rather than a five was that the chicken was a bit on the tough side in one of the dishes, but the sauce made up for it 🥰 The cheesecake we ordered tasted great, but was frozen in the middle unfortunately. The coffee came about ten minutes after dessert was brought out, when it would have been good to have these together. The cheesecake could have done with that thawing time too! Can’t fault the staff who were really friendly and welcoming.

I held my wedding meal here and we were absolutely delighted. Props to Loyd and the team! The food was delicious and plenty, people kept coming back for more! We loved the music, we loved the fact that we got to choose seating. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and happy on our special day! They tweaked the already delicious food to our taste and the fresh rotis were to die for!
