We went to this pub today , after visiting Elton hall . ( which was amazing ) It was around 4pm so was not too busy . The staff were exemplary , so warm and friendly . The food we had was amazing . Obviously freshly cooked , and a great vegetarian selection , so we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals

This is a friendly busy pub with good atmosphere and good food.
We all had roast dinners - beef, pork and lamb were available. They were large portions and delicious. Some of us also had desserts, also excellent.

Visited with our friends for lunch, sat outside as we had two dogs with us, ordered whitebait and fried chicken for starters and bangers & mash and king prawns for the main and we both enjoyed it.
Only thing I would say is frozen cocktails would be good in the sunnier weather!
Very polite staff went above and beyond with excellent service food was amazing and even when my husband knocked his beer over the table.
