First time being back since the refurb and it's a really great place. Also we had a good meal and as a lover of pizza, I think their new addition to their menu is fantastic.
Service was great and the meal was great both of us had empty plates Well done moorhen keep it up defo visit again
On every visit I have been so well looked after by the staff , great food. The Landlord & Landlady are so very helpful and give a fabulous service . Will always come back . Such a great atmosphere too .
The Moorhen has had its ups and downs.
Jaden and Michelle are defiantly going about things wholehearted for the customer enjoyment factor, of which deserves much respect!
It must be difficult to please regulars and new customers under new management, but with the promotions and effort they are putting in is second to none.
Cant wait for the re opening. And many more enjoyable evenings with the great staff and the new look!!

Myself and 2 friends popped in there on a Sunday night as we take part in the quiz night there. I wasnt disappointed in the customer service i received from the staff and manager. Excellent in fact. I ordered a burger and chips from the menu and Ethan served me in a very friendly and polite manner. Best look on the website for further details about food and drink menus.
I didn't have long to wait either. The food was hot and luscious. Chips were chunky yet fluffy centred and burger was well cooked. Very happy with the choice I made. Too full for pudding though.
My friends ordered drinks only.
Clean covd19 rules in place and very welcoming to everyone. Children and disabled friendly.
Definitely worth visiting. Car park at the side, smoking area outside with seating. Toilets were very clean too. Sunday 26 th March 2023. Came in here with two friends . My friend and I was hungry, so we saw that they offered 20% off all their Roast dinners and thought we would both try the beef. My friend had extra pigs in blankets.
There was no Pepsi, so my friend wasn't charged for her drinks.
We waited about 10-15 mins for both meals to come.

Yorkshire pudding was nice, Vegetables were not hot, and were mushy. Roast potatoes looked like they were from frozen. The stuffing ball were ROCK hard and if anyone with dentures or teeth issues, bit into it, it would hurt someone.
Hack saw at the ready for that one!! The meet was chewy and only 2 thin slices. My friend said her carrots were soggy.
The manager said the Roast dinner was worth trying.
Will not be eating it again and neither will my friend.
It's hit and miss really depending on the time of day you go as to the quality of the food. I was a chef once and know when something should not leave the pass because of the quality of the food and seriously would ask for the Manager or servers to check the food for temperature etc when it goes out every so often. There is now portion controls.
Disappointed even with 20% off the meal. I feel it was a waste of money I could have spent on another item off the menu.🤮😡😡
Visited with family. We had a lovely meal here. Food arrived hot and tasted delicious. Lovely atmosphere and football was on the TV, so hubby was happy.
The atmosphere was really comfortable as we had a large family dinner. The food was excellent and didn't take to long to be served. We had a very enjoyable time.
Brilliant food, Had a mixed grill and a sirloin steak cooked to perfection. And at a great price, much better than other businesses around. 100% would recommend. I was served by a handsome lad called James who recommended the mixed grill and didn’t let us down. Brilliant pub!
It was great! Food was good, only thing I would say is would be good if in busy times you could advise us if a potential wait time to manage expectations as wait times are inevitable but letting us know ahead of time helps us worry less
A good quality local pub. Nice atmosphere and relaxing environment. Food is not bad. However, some better food options locally. If you are in the area it is worth a visit.
This is hands down one of the best pubs in the area, there is a vast range of beverages and the staff are very friendly (especially Meggan the manager) she looks after us in every way possible I would highly recommend. BIG UP THE MOORHEN.
Nice place for drink and mid week food. Have some deals for mid week days. Parking on the side. Easy accessible for wheelchair. Have outside seats with a nice view of the lake .
Went to this pub for the first time. It was quite crowded. But the staff members were nice and friendly. Too many drinks I had and I was already sick. But they have pool. And latest slots machine. Dogs are welcome which is a plus. Nice place to have a good time. 💕💕💕

Meggan the moorhen manager, how beautifully poetic. Her eyes glistened at me upon a fine Wednesday evening, I thought to myself.. how is it possible to be so good at your job? One can only ponder. I’m completely in awe with her waitressing finesse and tight outfits. Thank you Meggan. Thank you <3

Some of the decor is looking tired, could do with a freshen up, but doesn't detract from an enjoyable visit every time we go.
Fab local community pub, family and pet friendly. The bar area has been redecorated and looks much better and brighter. Loads more tables in the garden now. Live music being booked more regularly, altho every weekend would be great. Lots of new signage has been put up too advertising dog friendly, and special offers. All the staff are friendly, cheerful and welcoming. Much improved making it an even more enjoyable experience

Desserts were tasty, main meal not all that, table well worn, should consider putting table cloths on them, if they cannot afford to replace them. Was able to reserve a table in advance, which was good.
Best pub in town- food is amazing, staff are friendly and got banging banter- digger is brilliant! Wicked atmosphere and best for live sports. A go to place in Peterborough!
Really good place to go to and have a laugh and watch the sports and all that the staff are nice people aswell and there is a lake outside the back garden what is nice i would tell anyone to go to this pub the food is really good aswell and not bad prices either so check it out if you're in the area or want to watch the games on a load of flat screens tv's and dat
