Awesome atmosphere, great music and the food was so good. Had the beef and it was real beef not the processed stuff you normally get and the gravy was heavenly. The salmon was perfectly capable cooked and the skin was proper crispy. Thoroughly recommend this place πππ
Such a cute little pub. I had my disabled daughter with me that I struggle to get in most cottage type places. This was easily accessible straight into the bar area where we were able to eat. We went on a Sunday so had a Sunday lunch menu, this was perfect for us and they had meat free options too. Food was tasty and was all eaten, my only criticism was the roasted parsnips needed longer in the oven, but none the less I ate them up as they were tasty its just my personal preference. It was a wet day so felt very cosy inside and perfect to finish our day off before we headed home. We shall definitely give them another visit.
Is this pub now open ? There is no info or say hello to the local people. I hope this time it is going well . I might just walk there to check :)

We had a lovely meal, well cooked service very good.not a lot to choose from, but understandable as not many staff. My husband had the burger firstly served on a wooden board. But we requested a plate which was provided, l had the lamb hot pot which was delicious π. Then finished with apple caramel pie, with custard. And a cup of tea. Just a couple of suggestions. Tea better served in a tea pot not a tea bag dunked in the cup. Also the sweet needed more custard and warming up. The service was excellent otherwise.
My first visit to the pack horse and could not fault anything. I took my wife and teenagers for a mother's day meal and the staff made us feel very welcome. Great choice of food all served up very quickly by lovely staff. The food was very tasty and plenty of it. Excellent surroundings and after we enjoyed a walk in the local area to walk off the plentiful portions. I would definitely visit again. I don't often give out 5 stars but well deserved.
Food was very good and we were seated as a party in a small room which was nice. Chairs were very uncomfortable and need replacing. We had pre ordered which was fine but my husband who does not eat any vegetables asked if he could possibly havecsome extra potatoes instead but was told no as they had only catered for set amount?? Potatoes really !!??
Apart from that was a good evening and food was very good.
Finally this pub has been turned around. For too long it's languished under a revolving door of temporary managers. New tenants very clearly want to make a go of this pub. The ale is well kept, the bar food is great and the meals are good if you prefer a proper sit down in the restaurant area. Thank goodness the village now has a village pub to be proud of.
A lovely pub with a great atmosphere and some lovely food. Had our works Christmas Party here and we were not disappointed in any way. A big thanks to all the staff who put a very big shift in to make sure our night went well.

Fabulous pub, location and food. The Sunday lunches came with so many extras that we didn't have to eat for the rest of the day. An incredible fayre. Very kid and dog friendly too which is important. Lovely owners...
