Very tasty lunch in this lovely pub restaurant. Looking forward to using the accomodation next year! First time visiting Helpston - a really pretty village with interesting historic connections. Would love to return soon and explore more.

Only went there for sandwiches etc following a funeral. Service pretty good, drinks perhaps a little pricey? Family members who live locally said new management big improvement over previous ones.

Really nice Sunday Dinner we enjoyed roast beef, pork and chicken. Followed by strawberry cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. All the food was lovingly prepared and portions were generous. The service was excellent and the restaurant was in a beautiful location. We'll worth a visit thanks team.

My partner and I had a lovely 2 night stay here whilst exploring the village and local walks. The room itself was very clean and tidy, with modern and comfortable fittings and furniture. The shower was beautiful. Lots of lovely tea and coffee. Me made good use of the pub whilst staying, eating breakfast both mornings, as well trying the roast and evening menu. Breakfast was great, full fry up with great produce. Special shout out to the breakfast sausage. We had the steak and an off menu venison dish for our evening meal. I am a chef myself and I thought everything was cooked to a high level, nice pink venison with a lovely jus. The roast was my pick of the bunch, not usually a roast man myself but all of it was spot on. The pork and chicken were well cooked, and all the other bits were exactly how they should be. My partner was able to get extra gravy on request. I believe the chef thought it was for me, as I heard him chuckling in the kitchen about how much gravy I wanted, I had more than enough haha. I am leaving my review of the staff to last, but they are really what makes this place a special place to stay. Without exception, everyone we dealt with was positive, friendly and attentive. It really did help us to feel welcome, when we were in a village we had never been to before. The manager also arranged for some forgotten items to be posted to my home address following our stay. Overall, couldn’t reccomend the bluebell highly enough. It was more than just a place to put our heads, and contributed to us both having a restful and peaceful weekend away.

Staff great and food outstanding in quality and value. As visitors we were treated like regulars so if in the village give it a visit.

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast here last weekend. I had pre-booked, mentioning we had a dog. The Bluebell accommodated our dog well by providing water, treats and a blanket for him. It was a lovely touch. The roast was nice. Large portions, delicious Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes. The portion size of the treacle sponge for dessert was very generous. Looking forward to going back to try their other menu 😊

Homemade delicious sunday roasts, vegetables great selection, just not the usual broccoli and peas. Fully booked but not rushed to free your table We will be back a lot. Just could not fault it. Kids roast in any other place would be sent out as a adult portion.

Would thoroughly recommend this pub with accommodation. We stayed 2 nights and were so well looked after. From the first friendly greeting to checking out- it was faultless. Rooms so clean and well equipped. The staff can't do enough for you for instance, when we took our dog to the pub, out came a rug for her to sit on as a stone floor, along with a water bowl and biscuits. Breakfast was excellent. Well cooked, not greasy, quality ingredients. When we left we were presented with some fancy biscuits and water for the journey home. Would definitely come back. Lovely place.

Stayed overnight in what was an absolutely amazing room. Lovely touches such as real milk in a fridge. Slices of cake on the side and tea and coffee. Everything spotless and sheets crisp white. Breakfast was really lovely and on leaving we were handed a bag for ‘the journey home’ which contained drinks and biscuits. What a lovely personal touch and staff really friendly. Would definitely return.
