The food in East is absolutely delicious! Have eaten there on numerous accations and would highly recommend it. So many amazing dishes and such a great menu.
East is the best place to eat in Peterborough! The atmosphere is amazing, the staff are really friendly and the food is sensational! We are regulars here and plan to be for a very long time. I've never had a bad experience. If you are unsure about Thai food, go to the sunday buffet so you can try a little bit of everything and you're sure to find something you like. Fantastic! 5 stars!!
We went on a Friday lunchtime for their £10.95 2 course menu. Even tho we were the only ones there the food and service were amazing, and with a sunny view of the Nene to look at we were v happy. Had chicken satay and spring rolls for starter and Indonesian rice and Thai curry for mains, and treated ourselves to tempura ice cream for dessert. Beautiful food! 2 drinks each and service charge £40. Will def visit again.
We came on Tuesday night for the £10 set menu, food was amazing and very tasty.
On the other hand could not decide what to have for dessert, so we decided to go for the platter... well worth the money. Staff very friendly � Thank you very much .

Sunday Buffet - Great value for money and although the choice of what to eat is smaller than at other venues, the quality of what is offered is much higher. My daughter (8yrs), adores it here, and the bonus is kids eat for £5.50!!!! East is a true gem

I've been wanting to have a meal on this boat since I was very young, and last night my wish came true when I and my partner had dinner here for his birthday. We absolutely were not disappointed - the staff were lovely and the food was utterly superb. We had the set menu A, and every mouthful was fabulous.
I went at 5pm on a Tues so it was quiet but filling up quickly. Definitely book for Tues as they have a £12 offer. Food was amazing. It was last time I came too. Satay chicken and Lamb Penang curry - great. I parked at Riverside car park by Aldi and a quick walk.
When looking up restaurants in Peterborough, immediately came across East and am very happy we ate here today, - Sunday Mother's Day buffet, on a boat with nice views of the River Nene and swans!
🍴 Even though the buffet didn't have perhaps as many options as I had expected, the food was tasty and not just Thai but also some Chinese / Korean / Malaysian / Singaporean influences. The sea bass was really tasty, loved the Thai green curry and Malaysian satay as well
Friendly staff and good vibe, could tell that many of the diners were locals and probably repeat customers which is always a good sign!!
Needed to visit HM Passport Office and did a quick Google search of restaurants near me. What a really pleasant find! Very reasonable set lunch menu on top of everything else on the menu. Staff were so friendly and attentive! The ambience was delightful and such simple but really nice decor. Really want to have dinner there as I can only imagine how the ambience would be magnified with the lights at night 🤩
I got carried away ordering several things to make the most of my visit so spent much more than the average person would need. All worth it!

This is our second visit to East. The food here is amazing - taste and quality perfect! Totally reccommend the chilly prawns dish and the cocnut rice - it was just heaven on a plate! The staff were friendly, and the service was prompt and attentive. Everything you could possibly require for an excellent experience and faboulous meal!
East is an amazing place for Oriental styles of cuisine. This place is an absolute gem 💎 cannot stress enough. The ambience and portion sizes are great. The food will just make you go wow!!. The homemade coconut icecream is the best I've ever eaten. The service is perfect they give you time and space but at the same time very attentive. Be (don't know if I got her name spelling right) is a standout. A must visit place while in Peterborough. Good food lovely location and very good service.
Nice place, A bit expensive if you accept to pay a full bottle of prosseco, even if you ordered only two glasses. The food is great, and the atmosphere is pleasant. I will recommend the duck with rice and some spicy vegetables 👌
We visited tonight as a large group of friends. Unfortunately the restaurant couldn't fit us in but advised us to reserve an area in the bar downstairs. They went out of their way to accommodate us, bringing food downstairs and the food was amazing. Thank you to Dougie and the serving staff for looking after us so well.
Visited East for the first time yesterday took my partner for his birthday meal and we wasn’t disappointed, the environment, service and quality / presentation of the food was by far one of the best we’ve ever had at a restaurant in the UK and we can’t wait to return. Thank you East team for making it a truly great experience.
We love this restaurant, we come here as often as we can and today was first day open inside after lockdown 2021. It did not disappoint for my mum in laws 70th birthday, the staff we so amazing and on time and onto every order even after such a long time off. They managed to hide the cake and then come out and sing happy bday at the perfect time, cannot thank them enough for making this special after a tough year. The food as usual so nice and authentic, I’m vegetarian and we got a mix of meat for the others and veggie for me. They did a tofu pad Thai (they are amazing at doing a tofu dish for everything) which I absolutely love. Highly recommend coming here for the food and atmosphere.
As always food was lovely, hot and fresh. Staff are so friendly and helpful. We love East food. ❤

I came here for a solo lunch while I read my book and it was such a great idea! It's a really serene atmosphere as you look at the swans right outside the window so yes, get a window seat! I had their pig shoulder for starters, egg fried rice and some spicy Thai seafood sauce and the flavour was so rich! The portions were pretty impressive too for the quality and price. They take reservations for groups too so you can surely celebrate something here.
I only withheld the 5th star because they could be more friendly and welcoming to add to the experience. They are a bit flat when you walk in and while you order.
First visit to east for my boyfriend and I and have to say we were impressed. The food was delicious and the puds amazing. The view of the river and watching the swans and ducks was relaxing. My only negetive is it was a bit cold inside the boat so will take an extra jumper next time. It was also nice to visit Charters, the bar under the restaurant on the boat,where we spent another hour or so relaxing with a drink and listening to the live entertainment. We will definatly visit again in the not too distant future 😀
