Lovely pub and lovely staff! Visited on father's day, made my 2 little girls ( 5 & 8 ) feel really grown up asking what they'd like to drink and calling them madam :-) was very knowledgeable about the pub and advised nice walks nearby where we could find the lowest point in Britain and that they were the lowest pub. Will definitely visit again!

We have been popping into this pub after our dog walks for a couple of years now, but last night we celebrated my husbands 40th in the restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff were absolutely awesome. A truly wonderful English pub.

We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here. The food was absolutely delicious, all freshly cooked and the portions were very generous. We also had desserts after our meal - oh my, simply amazing! All the staff were super friendly, fantastic and efficient service. The play ground in the garden was an added bonus - certainly kept our little one entertained. Perfect spot for a family meal out. We will definitely be back soon.

Great food. Apparently you can order smaller portion, I wish I had, portion was massive for a lunch, kept me going all day. Friendly staff a bit slow but it was packed out which to me means the other guests thought food was great as well. Definitely recommend and will be going back with my husband. Not sure if they take bookings but may be better to book ahead. Home made food

What we would call as travellers from abroad, a delightful Olde English pub in the countryside!! It has easy access from all directions, plenty of parking space, and an interior that is large; welcoming and their seating is extremely comfortable to linger-longer for delicious pub grub. Service was fast, staff are friendly, our food portions were generous, and they were happy to make a change in the menu to accommodate a seafood allergy. For the less mobile , entry and exit was relatively simple to negotiate. Well worth a visit

Really lovely place! I came here with my mum before I drove back to Newcastle on a Monday afternoon for lunch. My mum has dietary needs so often has trouble finding something on the menu that she can have, but the menu was varied and offered her so many options! ( she went with the scampi😊) We both enjoyed our meals and will definitely come back!

Wow this places was great. The staff went above and beyond when we visited for a family birthday, the food was delicious and the chicken and black pudding special was out of this world. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and we back for another visit soon.

Our hosts at an Air B&B in Ramsey, recommended this lovely restaurant for us to dine at. We booked ahead. We had lovely service from the staff, very attentive, and ordered the braised lamb roast dinner. We weren't disappointed, the best lamb we have ever tasted. I'd definitely recommend and call again if we in the area again. As a side line, though we weren't drinking alcohol, they have a very good and reasonably priced wine list, and a well stocked bar. Thankyou, a very well deserved review.

Couldn't book a table for Sunday lunchtime so had to eat much later but it was worth the wait. All tables occupied at 4pm so I took that as being a good sign and that the food was likely to be good.....and it was. I had a lovely rack of lamb with seasonal vegetables as shown in the photo. Other roasts and an a la carte menu were also available. Would very much recommend but you need to book well in advance! Only negative is that there was no room to park on site, so had to park by the nearby railway crossing.

Called in here after my son in laws flying lesson. Great place to go and a jovial and pleasant landlord. The food smelled good and FOH staff were very attentive but unfortunately we never had anything to eat just a nice beer in the garden. We will come back and try the meals most definitely 😁. All in all a nice experience

A group of pilot friends, 8 of us flew up from Denham to nearby Conington airfield and walked the 10 minutes from the airfield to the pub. We had a wonderful lunch in the conservatory area, terrific food and served with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble for the delightful Julie who looked after us. We will most certainly come again.
