Great food. Friendly staff it is such a lovely place the only thing that is needed is a few sign posts to let people know where they are going other wise it is hard to find .the cafe sign points in the wrong direction (points to the activity centre) .if it was sign posted better visitors would know it was there as you can quite easy drive past it .

We had an excellent staff team building day at Willowgate activity centre and as part of the day we ate lunch at Willowgate cafe and also had a private meal at the café in the evening. During lunch time the café was buzzing with the sun bringing in customers to the beautifully situated café onlooking the Tay. Having the cafe to ourselves in the evening provided a perfect opportunity to debrief on the day. Rhona and her team were extremely friendly and accommodating of the group whilst being helpful in answering questions before and during the meal.

A hidden gem in such a pretty setting! Brilliant Home made cakes and such friendly service which is hard to find these days. Looking forward to going back for a homemade pancake breakfast!

Always go here for lunch with Mum. Beautiful scenery down by the Tay, sometimes spot local wildlife too! The food is fantastic and great portions. The staff are always delightful and friendly. In the winter they have a wood burning stove on and in the better weather it’s a lovely place to have lunch, looking out over the river. The cappuccinos are quite unique too, give them a try! Haven’t been for the breakfast yet but planning to.

What a beautiful setting alongside some delicious food. My husband and I went for breakfast, the quality of the food was top notch and was topped off with a lovely walk along the riverside, watched damselflies and dragonflies dance across the water and swans with their signets. Will def be back.

Decided to drive through and visit the strawberry shop in Perth and quickly looked up somewhere to grab some lunch afterwards. This place popped up on Google and the reviews looked nice so we tried it and it definitely lived up! It's small, and a bit rustic looking, but inside it's clean and well laid out and the staff were absolutely lovely! They have a little window on the side for takeaway too which is very convenient if you are boating/ doing water sports or just walking along the river! The food was delicious and not too pricey. I was with 2 others who had baked potatoes and I had a toasted ciabatta roll. Everything was hot and tasty, just what we were looking for! A bonus is that right outside there are benches to sit out when the weather is good, and the view is very nice too of the River Tay! Its a bit hidden away and we took a couple of wrong turns before finding it but I would definitely recommend giving it a go if you are in the area!

Loved it all, the prettiest place lovely staff, although male waiter does not give much time between being seated and ordering food. However it is a bit expensive small bowl of soup and toastie for two with coffee each £30 pricey lunch. ♥️⚘️

We have been to willowgate activity centre a couple of times now, but this was our first to the Willowgate Cafe. It was recommended by our coach. He wasn't wrong! Great place, great food and nice engaging staff! They have an expert in cappuccino froth designs, so put him to the test. It wasn't overly expensive and has a great selection of cakes (for after your meal). Would go again (and will) as soon as we get a chance.

Best views best food Best service a wee hidden gem of a place.. Also has an activity centre for kayaking and sandy area for volleyball A place to take a folding chair a hat and book and sit and listen to the countryside...the noise from the bridge at the cafe was minimal. Loved it can't wait to tell my friends...or not ..don't want to many people knowing about it...only kidding...😍 Norma Narey Barbara Sturrock and Gwen Kirkwood

Beautiful cafe nestled on the banks of the river Tay. I highly recommend the Hot Choclate, scone and lemon drizzle cake! Snuggly and warm in winter, seating next to the river when it's warmer. And dog friendly!!

2nd visit here in recent months, like the feel of the cafe. Can't fault service or food we have had. All been great. Found out today they serve pizzas and burgers outside... so, next stop with the kids when passing again. 👍

Great cafe by the river and situated under Friarton Bridge. Love the timber cabin vibe. The double aspect stove is a great cosy feature. Food, coffee, and cakes are brilliant. Breakfast rolls with butcher quality fillings and quality eggs with deep coloured yolks. Pet friendly outdoor seating (not indoors). Walks, watersport, and other activities too. Lucky to be quite local. I almost forgot...the service is fantastic too. I believe there is a nice walk from town to get there too but i haven’t tried that yet...what better way to replace calories ;).

Lovely location on the outskirts of Perth. We walked from Rodney Gardens along a fooypath that goes under the railway bridge. Staff were lovely and friendly. Willowgate also does wild swimming, paddle boarding and fishing
