The last time I visited here was in February 2007 when I had just buried my mother and father in the Church yard at Trinity Gask; with Rev Colin Williamson officiating, but without Hector as he had Started his running season again, so it might have been March, certainly the other brothers were recognised, as the lady serving us said "How nice to see you again", every body had something different to eat, but it is at least comparable with Jamesfield Farm Shop and Café, which is also a nice place to eat near Abernethy, anyway I would heartily recommend Gloagburn Farm shop and café for any future visit.
Catch the sunflower trail while you can, open for about a month. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The farm shop is well stocked with gifts and plants and the restaurant is meant to have really good food ( we didn't eat there that day, just recommended by friends). We got ice creams and hot the trail, where there's a bail maze, wooden outdoor games, pick your own sunflowers is allowed and the supply pruning shears and a pruning station. It was beautiful and quite the experience! So densely planted and a trail of about 1.5km through the fields. We only did a portion as my mum isn't great on her feet and that was great too. Dogs and buggies are ok, most wheelchair users would manage too (can't comment on accessible toilets, sorry). We had a great time, there's tote bag souvenirs and a few staged photo ops too. Definitely recommend this if you're in the area/have visitors. This is something we've never done before but will keep an eye out for next year. We booked tickets online but noticed card and cash accepted throughout 👍
We had a great time there. The sunflower trail is really nice to have a relaxing walk in the middle of the field. The weather was really bad but still we had a great time out. Food at the restaurant was delicious and loved the products in the shop. 5/5 would definitely recommend
The owner of a place that we rented for 5 days nearby recommended this place. We went the first day for breakfast and liked it so much that we returned every day for breakfast and once for dinner! Not only was the food very good and fresh, but the shop was interesting and varied. I wish that we had a place like this near home.
Three of us stopped in here for a quick coffee and cake stop.
Really nice clean place, lovely staff, amazing shop with fresh farm produce, fruit, vegetables, dairy, bakery and a butchers.
Also a gift shop and Cafe/Restaurant.
I had the spiced apple cake and toffee sauce for £6.25. Mother had fruit scone for £3.25.
My Son had a Gloagburn club sandwich for £10.95.
All delicious.
It's not cheap, but it is lovely and good value in my opinion.
The most magical day picking sunflowers! A wonderful farm shop too. We had the best day & the sun was shining. My only wish is that you get a wee basket or something to carry your sunflowers as they are so heavy & I had a wee one with me so wasn’t so easy 🤣
Highly recommend for a day out!
Superb set up here, excellent surroundings with fabulous food.... however our breakfast order eventually arrived after we had finished our coffee my wife's order was excellent mine unfortunately was not to my request and 1 item short on the plate.
My meal was eventually returned to my request and was delicious.
The delicatessen range was superb as was the butchery department .
Definitely worth a visit, best to book first though.

Absolutely lovely place, gorgeous food cafe staff are very kind and helpful. The shop sells a variety of items gifts clothes home ware meat fresh eggs and home bakes along with so much more.
On a long journey north and keeping an eye out for services on the A9 northbound for a cuppa when we spotted the sign for the Farm Shop & cafe.
So pleased we nipped down the mile or so road and had a tea, latte, a pavlova and no less than a empire biscuit! ( brought back memories). Lovely setting, clean, bright, warm modern building, very friendly and welcoming staff. Toilets clean and clearly well taken care of. My wife enjoyed browsing through the gift shop and purchased a few items too.
There is a comprehensive menu for breakfast, lunch as well as afternoon tea.
We’ll certainly stop here again if we’re in the area.
We visit gloagburn only once a year on our way home but we always have a fantastic lunch and buy some things from the wonderful shop. This time my teenage daughter needed emergency period products and there were none available at all and the staff couldn't help. I think it would be such an important move for the bathroom to have some available at hardly any extra cost. Please consider this!
Brilliant farm shop and I wish there was something like this in my area. Just a short journey from A9 Perth and well worth the detour if you are in the area.
YouTube channel CrawfordsFarm worth watching.
The shop has great selection of local foods with a good selection of gifts
