First time eating Thai food, won't be the last, had the duck sizzler with noodles, got to say, best bit of duck I have ever eaten. Service was good and took time to explain the menu.
I pre-ordered the duck for a meal tonight, the starters were wonderful, hot and freshly cooked. Main meal was fabulous, we had to box the rest of the meal to take home. Staff are absolutely wonderful, very friendly and made sure we had the perfect meal.
Hidden little gem, a must go to.
My partner and I went for dinner on a Saturday night Great service and fabulous food! It’s definitely worth booking as we were given the last table for two! The food is cooked fresh so having to wait while enjoying the wine we ordered worked perfectly. Definitely a 5 � for service and authenticity �
Myself and 8 of my colleagues had lunch delivered to SSE at lunch-time today and I have to say the whole experience was first class. The food was superb and the Pintos are great as they keep the food hot as well. Needless to say we'll definitely be doing it again �
Fantastic food & great service. Starter was a mixed platter to share. The chicken and prawns were amazing. Sizzling sirloin to follow cooked medium rare was also amazing. Cooked perfectly and the sauce that accompanied the dish was delicious.
One of the best meals I have had in a very long time and will be returning again soon!
Had a lovely lunch there yesterday on the recommendation of friends who go regularly. Great food and service - such a friendly place. Great value too. Will definitely be back.

One of the best restaurants in Perth, food is always freshly prepared the king prawns are the freshest I've had. Staff are very friendly and nothing is to much trouble.
I'd highly recommend here for anyone who loves thai food. The staff are very attentive the food is always amazing. We were dining at a busy time of the evening we had to wait a little while but two members of staff kept us updated and to be honest if the food is that good a little wait is worth it.
My friends and I had an INCREDIBLE meal! I’ve visited Thailand and the food at Mae Ping Thai Dining was authentic and freshly cooked. The service was friendly and the waitresses were honest with customers that the food was going to be a while but it’s all freshly made to order. We were more than happy to wait for delicious food! We will definitely be returning soon!
We are only in Perth for 2 nights and tried Mae Ping tonight and the service was very good with a polite lady serving us.
We started with the Pork ribs with a soy and sweet chilli dip.
My girlfriend had the Thai green chicken curry and commented that it was very fresh and the best she's ever tasted so far.
I had the Pad Kraprao which was quite spicy, but not over bearing.
Portion size was good for the price, £28 for a starter and two main courses.
We came back again tonight and had even better dishes.
Definitely worth a visit when you're in Perth.
Best food this side of Thailand. Service was fabulous, probably the best restaurant in Perth. I do not come to Scotland much but will definitely be coming back here for my next visit. It’s a family run business which just makes it even better, would recommend to anyone visiting the area. - 10/10
Guaranteed fresh, fragrant, delicious and authentic Thai food! Mae Ping never disappoints. Always a friendly service and such tasty food. There is plenty to choose from on the menu - of which I am yet to explore, as I usually order my favourites every time I dine in or order to take-away. I look forward to going back and enjoying other dishes from the menu ☺️

Amazing food and service! Staff are so friendly and welcoming. There's loads of amazing choices on the menu and the staff are really helpful if you're not sure what to go for. Have been recommending to all our friends. Can't wait to go back already!

I just adored this cozy little Thai on Perth’s High Street. Open between 5:30 PM and 8:30 PM on weekdays, it is run by a father-and-daughter team offering a variety of tasty curries and stir-fry with a blend of freshness with flavor that is not easy to find elsewhere. I liked it so much that I visited three times during my workweek in town and was never disappointed. For those who visit Thai restaurants only sparingly on grounds of finding the food a bit heavy, that will not be your experience at Mae Ping – you’ll be amazed how their dishes allow the vegetables and the spice-and-sauce to shine through sequentially, almost in line with your brain’s own will of the moment. You won’t spend a lot either – the vast majority of their mains price for under a tenner, even here in this inflationary times. Only drawback is shortened hours on weekdays but by the end of my stay this became its own cachet of sorts, in the sense of ensuring I could end my final business meeting in good time to make last call.
Had a birthday meal out for my sons birthday as its one of his favourite places to eat in Perth. My granddaughters were able to guid us through the menu we all had a fantastic meal which catered to the all out tastes and the service was excellent would highly recommend.
Great Thai food, delicious. Peanut allergy so the staff replaced one of the sauces with another without peanuts, rather than taking away the sauce (which other Thai restaurants usually do).
